My arrival and check in was apparently a sign of things to come for my week long stay at this hotel. I arrived at the hotel at 4:15 pm and was told my room wasn’t ready. I asked if there was another king room available and was told no. Since it was a king room I said I would wait, but was then told it’s not available. What do you mean it’s not available? She said it’s”just not”. Ok. then can I get a room away from the interstate and elevator. No problem she said since the hotel doesn’t have an elevator you don’t have to worry about the noise. I get assigned a room on the second floor at the north end of the hotel right next to the interstate- so I turn on the AC to drown out the noise. It’s old, dirty and squeaky. Also with bad knees and luggage. Seriously second floor? No other rooms are available but I can checked back the next day and move rooms. That’s a huge inconvenience. No thank you. This hotel seems like no one’s really cares about it or managing it. The customer service is disappointing, the hallways were never vacuumed during my week long stay, there was no service to the rooms so you have to hunt down a housekeeper for towels and toilet paper or walk down the hallway, flights of steps, down another hallway to the front desk. And good luck trying to find someone there. The front desk staff are seldom attending the front desk, and if a guest needs something they have to yell to the back room to get someone’s attention. The one gal was extremely rude on two different occasions as tho we were a bother to her. I spoke to Sean about this and he said he would add 20,000 points to my Marriott BonVoy account and apologized on her behalf. No points have yet been added. There’s no working elevator, there’s no shuttle or restaurants within walking distance and their bistro has very limited hours so there are no options for meals unless you pay for an Uber or Lyft - which are expensive in the Lakewood area. The hotel is undergoing a renovation, basically they’ve installed new carpet and drapes. I had to switch rooms because of the old, noisy AC unit in my first room, the rooms remain dark with minimal lighting, no upgrade to the bathroom or fixtures except the tile floor. Not the quality or service a guest excepts of a...
Read moreTitanium Elite, 75 nights at Marriott properties last year, 22 nights at Hilton Properties (Hilton Gold and considering the status challenge from Hilton because of being Bonvoy’ed one too many times. Currently on a 4-night stay at the Courtyard Denver Southwest/Lakewood. I have stayed at this hotel at least six times in the last year, totaling over 14 nights. I have an office within walking distance from this property, which is the only reason I continue to stay here. I have on a couple of occasions, stayed at the Residence Inn across the street, which is not any better. The front desk staff is very polite, however, each time I stay here I am asked if this is my first time here…I am sure the front staff can see my record here at this property. I am quite sure they can also see that I am Titanium, yet no recognition of status, and no upgrades whatsoever, troubling especially since I am a multiple repeat customer. This property is in desperate need of an upgrade, the furnishings are horrible and look as though they have come from a frat house, tired, scuffed, scratched and broken. Furnishings are scuffed to the point that the finish is worn off, the small couch in the room has stains on the cushions, as does the floor/carpet. The bed and mattress, absolutely horrible. No hair dryer in the room, pointed this issue out to the housekeeping staff who said they would get one for the room, two days later and still no hair dryer. Yesterday morning, I stood at the counter in the Bistro waiting for service to order coffee and breakfast, for more than five minutes without any recognition from staff despite them being behind the counter, not so much as a “be right with you”. In frustration, I left and drove to the Denny’s about half a mile from the hotel to have coffee and breakfast. The service at Denny’s was better than here. I will not continue to stay at this property, despite the convenience to my office. I may give the Fairfield Denver West/Federal a shot or...
Read moreI stayed here for 3 days the 1st 2 days were great on the last full day I was there , I left for only a couple hours and when I came back my room was completely cleaned out and all of my belongings were gone, I am a process server and I had over 50 papers. An entire stack of court documents with peoples personal information and they were gone and I could have lost my job. That very same day a cleaning lady came knocking on my door twice 2 different times and I told her 2 different times I was not checking out until the next day. I did not even leave my room to go out for a couple hours until 3 PM and I come back and everything I own is gone, The girls at the front desk were as helpful as they could be but that did not solve the problem or fix anything. One of the girls did everything she could to find all my stuff but it took about 4 different trips of her coming back-and-forth to my room to ask me what else did I have. And i still Did not get all of my belongings back. I lost a 30 dollar bottle of vodka, a 60 bottle of coach perfume, Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner, my phone charger and box, a gray tank top. I mean who comes in a room and sees every bit of someone's personal belongings and does not ask 1st if the room is supposed to be cleaned out obviously the person in that room has NOT checked out if all of their belongings including their work is in there. But the biggest problem was that this woman knocked on my door 2 different times and I told her 2 different times that I was not checking out how much clearer can one person be and I still have to come back to that room and feel so violated and all of my belongings gone how unreal. What a terrible experience and that is grounds to be fired. That should never happen and that's all...
