I went in looking for a particular item that I got before a couple of years ago, and they had redid the menu this time so it was hard for me to find it. The chunky lady at the cash register was not very helpful and nor was she very friendly, not saying she was mean, but she seemed as if she had better things to do. I wasn't welcomed in nor was I helped very much with the menu or helped with an idea of what I was trying to explain to her what I was trying to get even though there is a sign saying make up your own drink or something like that at the counter.. anyway she just stood there with a half ass smile and not very helpful at all nor tried to recommend anything.. at least when you go to Starbucks, they're outgoing even if it's fake and they try to make you feel welcome...I did not get that feeling here. So I ended up with a drink that tasted nothing like what I had before and just paid eight dollars for a 20 ounce nothing with ice... I will not be going back here ever again. This experience was not ok especially if I'm spending that kind of money on a 20 ounce drink. The place was packed full of young adults some older, but none that look like me which says a lot..at least at Starbucks, which I will continue to go to, there is a mixture of people, and that's not Bardo's coffees fault but just saying. The stares that I got in the feeling that I felt in Bardos was very uncomfortable to say the least. Will not be returning. I would rather spend 8 bucks on a 20 ounce nothing at Starbucks, but at least there I...
Read moreyesterday i ordered a macchiato and asked for a bit of vanilla to be added. a small barista with black hair and glasses, condescending tells me "this isn't like a starbucks macchiato, if you want that you're going to need to get something else-" i reply kindly with "i know i want the one on your menu" i understand that it's two shots and a dollop of foam and i just wanted it with a bit of vanilla. she's goes on about how this isn't starbucks and then says continues to roll her eyes at me and says "yeah i can remake the drink for you when you don't like it" then she holds up a cup and condescendingly explains its not going to be a full size, again overstating and going on about how this isn't starbucks, trying to purse me to order something else, I agree again, and state I understand and I want the macchiato.
the bar then calls out a vanilla latte, this isn't what i ordered so i don't get it, she walks around the bar, comes directly up to me and goes, "this is what YOU ordered" pushes the drink and storms off.
i was really embarrassed and thrown off by this, i immediately left. i understand maybe she thought i was confused but the rudeness was really unnecessary??? my partner works for your distributor, i know coffee well. ...but the best part is i don't even know what a starbucks...
Read moreHas gone downhill. I used to love this place, but the last few times I've gone, it takes too long for any of the workers to acknowledge they have a customer. They're pretty unresponsive at the other end of the counter as well. It's like you have to wave them down to get their attention. I overlooked it a few times because it's not like they were outright rude and my drinks were correct and consistently well made.
This last time though, once again the employees were in la la land and my drink sat at the counter for about five minutes before I realized it was mine, even though I'd been watching like a hawk. Reason being it was called out as the wrong name and in the wrong type of cup, but I noticed no one else was grabbing it. So I flagged someone down and asked if it was the drink I ordered and they looked at each other and kinda confirmed though I don't think they even knew for sure.
I was already on the fence about coming back here because the place has outgrown its small space. It's usually hard to find a table and even harder to find a quiet spot.. Good for them that as a business, they're staying busy, but I just don't enjoy my time there anymore. Especially not to...
