Kohl's — Local services in Lancaster

My opinion of Kohl’s at Park City Lancaster has plummeted. My dilemma: I found perfect clothing item, but it was the wrong size...so not so perfect. Also, I wanted to pay with a gift card, so I wasn’t sure if ordering on in-store kiosk was an option. The item had a barcode, but no other ID, so I wasn’t sure if I could find it online. So I went to the Customer Service desk. She claimed it was in stock, but made no attempt to assist me. I combed through the section, but as before, I found nothing. I went back to customer service. Unhelpful lady number two (somehow they managed to switch out while I was gone) appeared completely baffled my the missing information on the item. She brushed off my suggestion to scan the bar code. She told me that kiosks do not support gift cards, and that she didn’t know if online shopping supported them. I asked if someone could help me look. Enter lady number three. While just slightly more friendly, she was completely incompetent I this section. She made the obvious statement that it wasn’t here, and suggested several other items. No thanks! This item is 60% off, and exactly what I want. I decided to order at kiosk and pay credit card. If you have every used the Kohl’s kiosk, you will agree that they are not on the cutting edge of technology. After the cumbersome process of poking all my information into the machine, I find that they do, in fact, accept gift cards. How nice, even if I must manually enter the info, thanks to a flakey scanner. I next wait in a long line, hoping not to get the cashier who is lady number two or three (as previously referred to), but I got a wonderful clerk who breezed me out of the store in to time. Never really shopped at Kohl's before, but I wanted to look at a pair of gloves I had seen advertised online. This store is located at our local mall and the parking lot just in front of the store was packed!! This is either a crazy busy store or a popular mall entrance. It's a huge parking area so there is plenty of parking, but if you want to get a space close to the door you'll have to make a couple laps to find someone leaving. Once inside I notice that this is a huge store, very clean & well lit. With a layout of most big stores like this there is a pattern you have to follow through many other departments to reach the one you are interested in. You will definitely get a look at what they have to offer. We needed help finding the gloves we were interested in, and there were plenty of staff members available. The associate that helped us was super friendly & knowledgeable, and she took us right to where we needed to be. Excellent customer service, Kohl's - a big giant plus in my book. We found exactly what we were looking for and headed to check out. The line was a bit long, but it moved at a good pace and more cashiers were added quickly once the line began to get longer. I used to consider Kohl's kinda "snooty" but they treated us commoners fairly well and the gloves I purchased were sold to me at the advertised $12 sale price. Nice job Kohl's. I have been shopping at the Khols at Park City mall for years and years. Why? Because I like the products they carry. My experience lately though, since a man became the manager ( don’t know his name) but I know that he follows me around the store, as if I were his lost dog.I don’t appreciate him following me around. I already suffer from PTSD after a hit and run accident I was in. I have plenty of anxiety. I don’t need his presence around me How come he doesn’t follow other people of other color around? He needs to be replaced by someone else!! I already had 2 strokes related to stress. Don’t follow me around. I understand if he ever caught me stealing anything, but he hasn’t because, I don’t steal. I pay for everything I have. I am sick of him. Someone do something. Don’t want to see his face every time I go to the store because he causes my blood pressure to raise. I guess he thinks I am going to steal something for 2 reasons: 1- I’m a Hispanic woman 2- I carry a bag back, so I MUST be there to rob them! What he doesn’t know is that I am a disable person who has to carry her valuables and medication with me at all times, so that they don’t disappear or get tampered with...
