Booked an afternoon tour of the distillery. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon and interesting to learn about the distilling process. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions well and was very familiar with her script. That being said, perhaps the tour coins be updated a bit to be more of an interactive experience (use more questions to engage the audience) di the information is more interesting to hear and the audience is more engaged. The tour includes many samples (it would be hard to keep up and try everything you are offered). I wasn't a big fan of most of the alcohols, but some of the alcoholic lemonades and sodas are really delicious and go down easy. I purchased a t-shirt while there. It is the softest one I own and has washed up great! The entrance and parking were a bit tricky to find, so give yourself a few extra minutes. I did not have the change to eat or order drinks at the bar so I can only...

The building in itself is amazing, an old tobacco warehouse built in the early 1900’s, add to that the awesome distilling gear and it’s just awesome. So the tour also is full of great information and stories about distilling and its history in Lancaster.
At the end of the tour comes the much anticipated tasting! They offer tasting of every product that they have in stock. So that in itself is worthy of the price of the tour.
Afterwards we went to the bar and had several beverages, some food and some awesome chats with both the bartender and some folks we met on the tour.
So the nuts and bolts are: you have to book your tour date and time online. I highly suggest you use google earth to preview the location as it’s up a small alley in the middle of a residential area and their signage is minimal. Be forewarned- your wallet will take a hit as their beverages...
Read moreThis charming place serves some of the most unique cocktails made with hard to find rye based whiskey (made on-site). Furthermore the gin is also unique in the fact it is made in the "New American Style". Also hard to find. This is a delightful deviation from traditional gin; which is just vodka and juniper berries. Their gin is made (on-site) with the lowest amount of juniper berries to qualify it as "gin" but with citrus and a slight mint on the pallet. Its quite refreshing. If your not a gin fan try this, it just might change your mind. The "Barrel Rested" gin, is their gin "rested" in used oak barrels that were used to age whisky so it adds vanilla, oak and slight charred flavor to it. This stuff is flat out excellent. There is nothing like it on the market. I highly recommend this place and their spirits. Finally, they share bar space with a craft brewery so if cocktails are not your thing no worries they have the best of...
