Zoetropolis Cinema Stillhouse — Restaurant in Lancaster

What a fabulous place... I only wish it was closer to home!

My sister and I came here a few years ago to see Circles Around the Sun, and loved this place so much. We met Matt and his wife out front and they were so welcoming. They were so excited that we were there from WV to see the band and showed us around their establishment.

The room for the concert was so great, with comfy lounge chairs and sofas, chairs, and a few tables in the back. The whole room had a great vibe. The sound was amazing, and we spent the whole evening having a few drinks and listening to CATS.

After Neal Casal's passing, my sister saw Matt at the tribute concert. He was also a fan, and and fellow musicians, we all enjoyed the fact that we appreciated the real music that Neal and the guys performed. Matt was genuine, and a real fan.

Luckily, this year Zoetropolis hosted CATS again, with Scott Metzger filling in for Neal and my sister and I knew we had to go again. This time we enjoyed the restaurant prior to the concert and had some of the most unique and delicious food. The flatbread pizza was amazing, and the popcorn was flavored with oils that made it taste so good! The price was great, and Matt even took time to come say hello and welcome us back! What a great manager/owner. If all places had people like this running them, they would all be this wonderful.

Another great experience, though we miss Neal, and we will be back. If you are anywhere around Lancaster, you need to know what a gem this place is. The people are friendly, the place is beautiful, the restaurant is amazing. I come from a smaller town than Lancaster, and I was so surprised to find such a neat experience in a smaller city. Bravo!

First, I’d like to point out how safe I felt eating here. Things are well spaced and outdoor/well-ventilated seating is abundant.

At least 50% of the menu was vegan. There were even vegan cocktails. If you’re a vegan, GF, or have other food allergies, I’d recommend this spot.

The best items we tried: fried mushroom appetizer with pesto aioli, vegan Caesar, muffuletta were all outstanding. Their French fries were steal-able. I will be back for these dishes.

The ambiance was artsy, hip, unique. There’s lots of patio seating around fire pits. I think a few people just have drinks around the fire pits with s’mores. The s’mores are a fun thing to order, but you have to reserve the fire pit tables.

There were a few misses, but overall it was so nice I can’t deduct points. The atmosphere and stellar dishes made up for these little missteps.

I love this place. I've been a couple times for the food, drinks and the theater. Each time has been fabulous! The staff is always friendly and helpful and the food is always delicious.

This most recent time I went specifically for their 4/20 deal, their Funyun chicken. IT WAS SO GOOD. The chicken was super moist, the slaw added a nice cool element to the sandwich and it was oh so flavorful all around. I had two mixed drink while I was there and they both were refreshing and delicious. There was only one bartender working the busy night but he was very attentive and kind to all of his guests.

The place tends to get busy because they have a great indoor/outdoor flow for a nice spring/summer dinner so I recommend making reservations! Also check out their theater offerings! They show a lot of indie and older films and I even took my mom here once to see a video compilation of funny cat videos and we had a blast.
