Um, hate to spoil the perfect five... it's time for an outsider to speak up to end the delusion. Tonight I forked over 20 bucks for a series of jarring skits and a brief "finale" of "standup", half of which was appropriately done on with the "comedian" laying on his back.? The package was weakly bound together with the theme of cats and as a sub theme, screaming at loud volumes in the absence of humor: all but a spare few lines of it could qualify as a joke except among the self absorbed and cast synchophants. Clearly the height of the evening was skit work featuring a woman purporting to be a cochroach who put an exquisite sense of timing on display, timing that was offered with an ease of affect and delivery that guarantees she has an easier road ahead in performance. Who doesn't love a south philly cockroach from the 700 level? Enthusiasm in the gang was abundant, clearly clobbering crisp writing, spur of the moment retort, or tight conceptualization for the prevailing attribute award. Despite the loud forced laughter of an over the top creative director I am interested to try again, but only for a true improv session, as I'd like to figure out how the rapid fire of improv sessions somehow got translated into an ill used cockroach wandering through a steaming pile of ear splitting kitty litter. Despite this wretched insensitive review, I recommend you try to support this enthusiastic bunch with a visit to an...

Read moreIn 2021, I decided to take an improv class on a whim. Almost 2 years later, I can confidently say that it was one of the best choice I've ever made.
