My experience was honestly terrible. I was so excited to go to Red Lobster because it had been a couple of years since I’d been. After a very long day at work I was too tired to make dinner so my family of 6 went to eat at Red Lobster. Things went bad almost instantly. One of our three appetizers came out and then our waitress asked me if she forgot to bring me my salad and I let her know that she must have because I didn’t have it and I also let her know we were missing one appetizer she then brought my salad out and after two bites,I realized there was a bug in it (yuck) she took it back and took $1.99 off my bill which was the up charge for the salad. Once I got my food. My steak was supposed to be medium well however it was very pink and bloody. The waitress took the steak back and had them remake it after a while when most of my family was done with their dinner (the dinner they had because 3 of the side dishes were missing and they had meals that came with only one side so no sides for a bit) I then received the steak that was supposed to be perfect for me (I had them pack it to go because everyone was ready to go and done eating) however I wanted to make sure it was cooked correctly but I could barely cut into it, there was still a ton of blood coming out so I’m not sure what happened there. I was told by the waitress that she could take the steak and take it off my bill. I told her I would like to keep it. I could take it home and cook it myself however, I knew that it would be even more tough, but I didn’t have any other options for dinner. She said she needed to ask the manager and he said no so then I asked if the manager could come to our table, and when he came, he told me he could not let me take the steak home unless I was going to pay for it, but he could discount it. Keep in mind I already had a bug in my salad, and all I ordered was the steak lobster tail, and it came with the one side, which was my salad. However, the waitress did bring me some broccoli so now I have eaten broccoli and the lobster tail, which was extremely chewy, but it had good flavor. The customer service was terrible. This manager Said he Could not take the steak off my bill if I took it with me so he would rather take it and throw it away then to Try to fix the experience that I had. I then asked for his managers number and he gave me a business card. I decided to call the number and leave a voicemail. However, it was just the phone number to the restaurant. Terrible...
Read moreMy wife loves Red Lobster, but hasn't been there in years. I took her there on her birthday (a Tuesday evening). We waited about 20 minutes to get a table, but we hadn't made reservations, so that was understandable. However, we were confused at the wait since the restaurant was mostly empty.
There was ONE waitress running the entire restaurant, who was nice and tried her best, but she was very overworked. Our guess was that this was the reason for the wait for a table?
After waiting 50 minutes for our main courses with no updates from our (overworked) waitress, we talked and decided to ask for our check and leave at the 1 hour mark to go somewhere else. 7 minutes later our food came.
My wife had ordered the Surf 'n Turf with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Her broccoli was barely cooked and the mashed potatoes were unseasoned. The steak (ordered as Medium) was beyond overcooked, it had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for most of that 57 minute wait. It was cooked through and completely dried out. She sent it back and we waited another 20-30 minutes for a replacement.
I had ordered the Endless Shrimp with coleslaw and mashed potatoes as sides. The waitress informed us that 3 kinds of the shrimp were out and had been since that weekend, this was annoying but okay since the selection was fine otherwise. I received the coleslaw immediately, instead of with the main course (maybe the waitress knew our wait would be long?), this was weird but okay. When my shrimp came I was missing my mashed potato side...I didn't bother saying anything since I assumed it would take another 57 minutes to get them and my wife's were so bad.
The second round of my Endless Shrimp also took 20-30 minutes (they arrived shortly after my wife's replacement steak).
This was supposed to be a romantic evening for my wife's birthday... It instead was full of confusion, disappointment, and frustration.
After we left I was annoyed to see what looked like the entire kitchen staff hanging out, outside behind the building. Maybe this was a shift change? Or a break? Either makes total sense (they were probably short staffed and overworked too). However, this looks BAD after the low quality food that we received and the long wait. Give the employees a place to take breaks!
Red Lobster needs to get it together! That poor waitress needs a raise and some help!
After this experience we will be avoiding this location in...
Read moreWe were greeted immediately upon entering. The host gave great eye contact and asked us if this meeting was okay. Our server Melissa was professional, friendly, and understanding. She took our drink order and then our entree order. We never felt rushed and she came back to check on us frequently. I ordered the pick 2 shrimp my side was french fries which I considered a pretty safe choice. I ate most of my coconut shrimp and came across one that had a stale taste as if it was old and used anyway. Outside of that one shrimp the coconut shrimp was good. And the Crispy Dragon Shrimp was good until I came across a piece that was undercooked and mushy on the inside.
My friend ordered Brussels sprouts and they had to be taken back to the kitchen and when they were our server came back with another order, which was actually the same Brussel sprouts rinsed off and fried because the brussel sprouts were burnt terribly. The server did ask if she would like something else so she ordered a side of broccoli. When the broccoli came to the table it was covered in black spots (mold). She then ordered a baked potato and that came out good. The manager served her the broccoli and peeked around the corner but never actually came out to address any situation. Which means that the manager approved the dishes that came to the table. This is unacceptable the saving Grace were the biscuits and the service. It has been many years since I have visited a Red lobster and it will probably be many many more before I visit again.
Maybe this place is good for a quick appetizer, a drink and biscuits. But I'm not sure the cook is capable of properly preparing new dishes and serving fresh food. Shame on management for allowing rotten food to be served.
The atmosphere felt outdated, sticky and it was giving Ruby Tuesday. The only saving grace again was the service from The host...
