Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram at SNDTRAVELS and EATWELLTRAVELOFTEN Very eclectic range of merchandise makes for a fascinating store. While stuck in Laramie a few days for road closures, I stopped in and really found myself glad that I would be flying home and had no room in my suitcase or it could have gotten expensive. As Diane and I travel all over the country, we stop in towns like this, but so many of the stores are just tourist traps full of junk. This is not those places. Lots of locally made quality handcrafted items. The lady at the front desk was friendly, and I enjoyed our conversation. I look forward to passing this way again, but next time with my wife and maybe a couple of extra suitcases šŸ˜€

This isn't a store, it's an ecosystem with the partners continually reimagining the contents, their arrangement and how all of that feels to the customer. This collective of artists, artisans, craftsmen, entrepreneurs is unique, ingenious and imminently comfortable. The space is a beautifully restored 19th century building complete with original pressed tin ceiling and hardwood floors. A must see on your next visit to Laramie's historic downtown.

Ok but crazy prices. I received a very quick response from "the owner" who did not have the courtesy to provide a name. They claim that the pic that I posted was not from their store. I will take them at their word despite the fact that the GPS marking shows that it is at their store. SO I have removed the pic. Either way, we found their prices wild!

If you are traveling on I 80 through Wyoming, The Bent & Rusty is all the reason you need for a visit to Laramie. And if you are already visiting Laramie, this should be your first stop. Nothing is bent, and nothing is rusty (well, maybe a few things). What you'll find is an amazing number of unique items, many carefully refurbished and restored. These are items you'll not find anywhere else. My wife and I live part time in Laramie. Each time we return our first stop is Bent & Rusty to see what is new. We've bought several pieces of furniture over the past few years. On occasion we discover some thing that "speaks" to us, and we simply buy it. When guests visit us in Laramie we always bring them here. Usually they leave with something. Each time we visit it's a...

Edited to add context:

I stopped by in fall 2020 looking for gifts, but they had a sign explicitly saying masks were not required at their store. I understand why some businesses may have chose not to post a sign requesting customers wear masks (pre mask mandate), but I cannot go inside a business openly welcoming maskless customers.

I also cannot support through online or curbside shopping a business that openly welcomes maskless customers. Many of my friends and family cannot completely wall themselves off from the Albany County community, and I worry they will encounter Bent & Rusty customers who haven’t been wearing masks (and people who have had contact with those customers)...
