I hate to leave a negative review of a place in my hometown but after my experience here tonight I feel compelled to. Service was lackluster at best. When I asked for a menu -my wife was looking at the other one- the hostess pointed to a QR code and said something that I couldn’t quite understand about not having many paper menus. We were sitting right behind the hostess counter and there was a large stack of menus. This isn’t too big of a concern it was more the rude attitude. When our burgers came mine was less cooked less than raw. I ordered medium. I mean the meat literally looked raw. The bun was cold and the menu said the burger had cheese curds on it but it was just gooey cheese. The server got me another burger but then took my plate with fries left on it before I had a chance to say anything. The server was also on her phone almost the whole time we were eating. We still had to pay full price for the meal and I didn’t object. More so, my family just won’t frequent this establishment. Especially with how raw the burger was when being served. I don’t even see how it’s possible to serve such an undercooked patty. I never experienced a raw burger patty being served like that before. We have been here once before and were treated similar. At that time, we felt like we were treated as an inconvenience for...
Read moreIm from out of town...most of the food places when you google have high ratings and this is one of them. Nikole was my server and she was excellent! I ordered the standard 1/2 poutine first and its deceptive on size. When it came out I thought it was a small portion until I dug in...there was depth to the cool cast iron it was served in. I've had alotta poutine...have to be wary because can tend to be salty with the cheese and gravy combo but this was not! As you can see in Pic it comes out hot and has good cheese pull. Everything came together well in a good bite. I got the Raven burger (bacon, gouda, sautéed onions and a mustard sauce) I subbed the mustard for French onion sauce...and im glad I did...the spread in the pic was the French onion...I wasnt sure what to expect but it didnt punch you with onion flavor it added a nice creaminess. Now other places need to take note: grill the inside of the bun! I could of just ordered a dozen buns to go with that crisp....the beef was high quality and had a nice sear...and you'd think with all those toppings...it would of been a flavor explosion...the beef just needed some salt on both sides with that sear and the meat would of been the star! The onion rings were perfect! And those 3 pickles i would of bought a jar of them. I would go back to try the ...

Over the course of the last couple years Crowbar has really become disappointing. You can read my original review, I used to think very highly of it. The food has become pretty lackluster, their pizza, regardless of what they say, is different than it used it be. Nothing is as good as it used to be. The service has also taken a turn for the worst. You never know if you will get food in a reasonable amount of time or if you'll spend 45 minutes waiting.
I highly doubt the issue is with any of the individuals working there, given the consistency of the degradation in both food and service I have a suspicion that poor management is to blame. I really hope they get it figured out, I want to be able to amend this review again back to 5 stars. But after 2 or 3 years of hoping for better and getting disappointed, I think it's safe to say it's not a covid problem, there's more to it than that.
Original Review
As far as I'm concerned the Crowbar has the best pizza in town. And while their burger options are limited what they do have is fantastic.
Excellent draft beer selection and full bar with good bartenders.
Consider them for your next weekend brunch outing, killer breakfast food and...
