The moment I entered BLK WAX BAR, I felt right at home! I was greeted with a big "hello" and asked whom my appointment was with. I answered Kadijah, and then was asked to have a sit in the waiting area while they let Kadijah know I arrived. As I briefly waited, I took in the smell of the aroma from an amazing candle. Kadijah came, greeted herself and took me to the treatment room. The entire facility was clean and smelled wonderful! As Kadijah performed the services, she asked questions about my previous service, I asked questions which she answered and she consistently asked if I was ok during the treatments. This was the BEST Brazilian WAX I have ever had! It was not painful to me AT ALL! Kadijah let me know the WAX was vegan which was a plus (research benefits of vegan wax). I also had my underarms waxed, as well as my eyebrows waxed and tinted. I was so comfortable during the treatments I started falling asleep. So happy I found this place! Clean, professional, kind and for the community! So number one they do an awesome job- I get sugaring done and it has been difficult finding a consistent good service provider for this! They do real deal sugaring (with strips method) and do an awesome job. They are also always so nice and accommodating, they actually put you- the customer first- and accommodate you as much as possible. The spot is nicely decorated and always clean. I have seen the owner on several occasions host/provide things to customers, her staff and the community out of the kindness and appreciation of her heart ! (I don’t even go looking for this but just have been blessed to be around while she was blessing others). I’m thoroughly impressed and pray for all the success and best for this company. Khadijah was friendly. However, I left not happy at all. During my Brazilian wax appointment she somehow waxed off my mole?!? It’s visible and I’ve had plenty of waxes where they saw the mole. I didn’t have to mention it. Resulting in me later going into to see a doctor because of more bleeding and pain post the incident at the appointment. Also, the wax was very hot and her pressure was kind of hard on my pelvic bone a few times. I’ve never had a painful wax in my life until today. A simply apology would of been nice or a percentage off my service but I didn’t even get that. It was a simple. “I was running my mouth and waxed over it” and then I was still charged for a full front and backside (butt) Brazilian, when I only asked for the front area to be waxed .
