NOT prepared to do balloons!!! I know they thought they had a revenue stream opportunity here but they’re failing. Had an order for 11. I showed up at 11:30 and no balloons. They said they might have them ready at 2 and when I was upset about it, they had the audacity to ask what time the party was. Talked the manager and she gave a whole lot of excuses and said she already had a poor mom call in crying because the balloons were for a 1 year old bday party. 1. Don’t try to make me feel like I shouldn’t be angry because my situation isn’t as bad as that poor mom. 2. That poor mom, DO BETTER!!! The manager and staff were very dismissive and acted like we had unrealistic expectations of the services THEY are offering. Even so much as to say the person who took our orders wasn’t in today. AND?!?! You’re the manager!!! This is a YOU problem. And I should not be subjected to your shortcomings in the way of excuses. You offered a service, I PAID more than other places charge for that service and YOU didn’t deliver. The execution of your new revenue stream is flawed and leaving unhappy children and parents in its wake. She did offer our money back, most likely to get the work off her plate. Whomever was in charge of setting up Michael's order on line, pick up in store program should have at least tried Walmart, Target, Lowes, or Best Buy's service first! The pick up area is in framing... Yeah, no clear or organized line for customers nor is there any signage other than the sign near the ceiling and not even directly over the actual pickup area. C'mon, I've been doing this for years at the other three stores and this has been, by far, the worst experience. The brainchild behind Michael's online pickup program needs some non-employees to test it out first. That said, one of the associates (helping another customer with frames, by the way) apparently notice the disgusted look on my face and my phone in hand because she politely broke away from the other customer and ask if I was picking up an online order. After that, the process was quick but clumsy: we had to share the counter and make some space with other framing customers as there was no other counter to use. Read moreDon't order online! I ordered 5 days ago, and according to their "it's on the way" email it was supposedly shipped 5 days ago. Nope... just checked tracking info and it's still only label created. Contacted customer service to cancel the order, explaining it was time sensitive and that I'd now need the funds to purchase replacements locally since they hadn't even shipped them yet, even though the email they sent said they had. They refused, saying I have to wait 4-6 business days to contact them that my package hasn't arrived since a label was created. Complete stupidity since it would be physically impossible for me to receive a package they haven't even shipped in that time-frame. As a small business owner, I don't have the excess funds to compensate for the horrible service provided by big business like Michael's with their policies of holding customer's funds when they've very clearly not provided the goods or...
