An absolute disappointment!
My wife had placed our online order(with tip included) and had received a confirmation that the order would be ready for pickup by 1:12pm today (Sunday). I showed up at 1:20pm and was told that it wasn’t ready and was asked if I wanted water while I waited. There were about five groups in the line at the time I arrived, and two gentlemen that showed up right after me looking for their online orders as well and 5 employees on hand. While I was waiting I realized that I was not sure where they were at on completing it so I went back up and asked. After they deliberated I was told that they were starting to work on it(1:28pm). I sat just off to the side within view of the register. They placed the order in the bag on the counter but never called it out. Once they placed a second bag next to it and one of the other customers walked up to grab it I thought I might check to see if mine was ready. It was the first bag they had placed on the counter.
Seeing how we have had issues with our online orders being correct in the recent past from this location I decided to open each sandwich up to make sure it was correct before I left(1:42pm). We had ordered four sandwiches. Two of the three sandwiches I had received in the bag were correct, the third one had completely wrong toppings and the fourth sandwich on our order was not placed in the bag. Beyond frustrated now because of the delay and the error in the order (particularly due to the missing sandwich) I took the bag directly to the register to address it with the employee standing there. I explained what was wrong and expressed my frustration respectfully and received a quick “Sorry” for the inconvenience. They corrected it and after checking the two sandwiches again I was finally able to leave(1:53pm).
I’m not sure where the disconnect is among the staff that work at this location. I can see how topping mistakes may happen time to time with online orders, but it happens more often then not lately it seems. However, leaving one of the four sandwiches out of the order all together and sealing up the bag like the order is complete????
Because of this experience along with prior issues with our online orders I will not be ordering anything from this location unless it is in person. I don’t like having my time or money wasted by incompetent actions as I would hate to do the same...

Okay, I am updating the review I just wrote 30 minutes ago and am now decreasing this to 1 star. The owner responded about 15 minutes later, but it's clear that the response is a canned answer that has been used repeatedly with other guests. This is disappointing for the Jersey Mike’s brand.
Furthermore, when I mentioned that the telephone number for the store doesn't work, the owner must’ve not read that part because they advised me to call that number anyway to speak further. THE PHONE NUMBER IS NOT FUNCTIONAL!!!
It seems like this is an absentee franchise owner who relies on inexperienced employees who are either unable or unwilling to learn. Leadership has definitely reflected attitudes of the team in this case… What a shame! I have written an email to the Jersey Mike’s corporate offices in Manasquan, New Jersey.
This is not easy for me to write, but I am being brutally honest because several people have already expressed significant concerns about customer service at this location.
EARLIER REVIEW:
This is a challenging review for to write, especially because I'm a Jersey Shore points member and truly enjoy Jersey Mike's products.
Recently, while delivering for Uber Eats, I picked up an order from this store. After delivering it to the customer, they contacted me to report missing items. As an Uber Eats delivery partner, I'm unable to check the contents of sealed bags provided by the restaurant to ensure everything is included. I also believe it's not the responsibility of Uber delivery partners to add incidental items like potato chips or snacks from the front counter to the order.
Furthermore, I faced significant difficulty trying to reach this store by phone. Despite multiple attempts spanning a 24-hour period following this incident, I consistently received a message indicating that the phone number was not accepting calls. In my view, this reflects poorly on any business, especially if the issue persists into the next business day.
It's disappointing to note that this particular franchise location has received several negative reviews in recent months. I'm sharing this feedback not only as an Uber Eats delivery partner but also as a loyal Jersey Mike's customer, in hopes that it will contribute to improvements in training and customer service at...
Read moreJersey Mike's? More like Jersey Yikes!
Let’s just say I am well versed in what this franchise has to offer – I am a loyal JM’s consumer and if restaurants released a “Spotify like” re-cap, I’d be in the top 0.1% of patrons. With my credentials out of the way, let me tell you why Jersey Mike’s on Tropical Pkwy is undoubtedly, undeniably, and patently the worst representation of this brand and has Papa Mike rolling in his grave.
As a lover of the JM’s art, I’ve given Tropical Blvd multiple attempts, I mean we all have off days, but these employees take the art out of sandwich artists. The service was abysmal. The staff looked like they would rather be anywhere else but there, and frankly their minds had probably taken a head start out the door.
The sound waves of my request, “May I please have a number 13 on white bread?,” could have traveled to the Grand Canyon and reverberated back before the employee sighed out a hesitant “ya.” I swear, I have wrinkles that formed in the time that passed before the employee led paint stared back at me saying “What bread? Rosemary?’ “No, white thank you.” “Okay number 6 on white.” Oh you thought it ends there? “No onions” was shortly followed by a serving large enough of onions that even Shrek couldn’t finish shoveled on to the sandwich, which when corrected, the employee just scrapped off, back into the onion pile. Hazard? What if someone was allergic? Or if a following customer were to consume onions that touched meats their diet restricts? Lastly, the hallmark of this institution “may I please have it Mike’s way?” this location must report to a different Mike than the pal I know and love, because the employee decided that meant I wanted pickles piled on, and then after correction discarded them in same precarious manner as our fallen onions.
Now while this interaction may not seem crippling enough to justify the slander of a 1 star review, it frankly was one of the better experiences I’ve had at this location. Today just irked me to the point that I needed to share the defamation Tropical Pkwy wields over the Jersey Mike’s institution and I recommend to anyone hoping to enjoy the rejuvenating experience of dining at Jersey Mike’s, please go literally anywhere else. Some people do not deserve...
