Nakata Sushi — Local services in Las Vegas

I’ve driven past this hidden gem so many times, wish I knew about it earlier.

It’s essentially a mini konbini complete with onigiri, sushi, classic Japanese snacks, drinks, staple Japanese grocery items (sauces, etc.), and even a small selection of dining ware.

The sushi quality was not bad at all, the rice was seasoned well and the individual grains are visible, not mashed together into a solid block. Just let it come up to temp or put it in the microwave just a few seconds so the rice is no longer cold.

All of their stores are great! You can find some items at each of them that the other may not have. This one is mostly kitchen focused, so there is a larger selection of sushi and prepared goods. The Hokusai artwork added a nice touch to the decor. I wish they sold them too. I do wish the drink selection was as big as their other stores. Especially since the focus is on eating. I have shopped the Sahara and Rainbow Blvd location on many occasions. This location off Village Center Dr. in Summerlin is smaller in size, but their sushi selection here is much better in my opinion.

The young lady at the register was very friendly and helpful.

You can see through my photos what I purchased. The sushi was very fresh and tasty even finishing some of it the next day!
