Houston TX Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Las Vegas

I have been a fan of Houston's for a while now and actually did a YouTube review video of the Henderson location and a YouTube Short of the Ann Road location. Tips From A Bellman is my channel. Anyway , this is the first time I've been to this location which is great because I like to go to the Trails of Summerlin walking path to do a few miles there and it's across the street. I was surprised also that this location sells alcohol and the Boozy Milkshakes sound amazing. I will have to try one the next time.

I recently had throat surgery so I can't eat like I used to for about another month , but I'm getting better now at eating most regular food. I usually get the Medium Heat Chicken Sandwich and a Hot Tender with Fries , but this time I had to just get a Mild Chicken Sandwich and Fries and a Frozen Lemonade. I like the original one better than the hybrid ones and I've tried all of them. I have to say I was underwhelmed by the Mild , but I knew it wouldn't be the same as I am accustomed to having a more spicy chicken sandwich , but I can't do spicy again just yet. So , I will just have to wait another month or so to get back to eating what I really like.

The young lady that took my order was very nice with a great smile and the lady that brought my food to the table was nice too. The place was clean as every Houston's locations I have been to. I like that they have the outside dining area also with tree cover for shade. It's a nice touch. When I was leaving a gentleman asked me how everything was and I told him about my situation , but everything was fine. I ate most of my sandwich and half my fires since I'm still working on my throat issues and not used to eating much at this time. I'm looking forward to coming back and getting my Medium Hot Chicken Sandwich and one of those Boozy Milkshakes probably in about 2 months when I'm better.

8pm 6/17/2023 I just received absolutely horrible service from your Trails Village Center Location. I live in Downtown Summerlin so this location is not close but I took the drive because I like the food. I placed my order online I ordered two Loaded Fries and a Cheesy Chicken Sandwich. I came pick it up I leave and I got all the way back to my house and the bag only had 2 boxes instead of three. I bring get back in my car drive all the way and politely stay to the young lady working the counter. Can you check my bag I have an order missing. Instead of her providing an apology and an action statement to fix the situation she said to me. " Sir I know what I put in the bag there were 3 boxes". Taken back by her instant attitude I said it cost me more in gas to drive back here and I dont have to lie about food. She still continued to argue restating " I know what I packed" never once offering an apology. She then asked me what did I want. I said " I want what I ordered". I wait 20 minutes she then puts the missing box in the bag. I then drove all the way back home and guess what? When I took the 3 boxes out the bag I had 2 sandwiches and 1 loaded fries which again is not what I ordered. I run a business myself and I understand mistakes can happen but never would I ever handle a situation like this with a customer. I promise you I know it cost more to acquisition a new customer than it cost to retain one and I can tell you for a fact that I will not come back to this location ever again. This marks the second time I have received a rude reception at this location and it will definitely be my last. If I could have give a negative 1 star I would have. Further it doesn't make me feel good that I had pre-tipped during the ordering flow for horrible service. The young lady who argued with me about a freaking $13.00 item after I just spend $60.00...

Newer review: Pool day today. Picked up some lemonades, cookies and loaded fries. Perfect!! The fries were hot and great... the lemonades are always the best, but we're even better after a day swimming and the cookies were very good! Very happy with Houstons HC!

New review: Today sucked... went to watch the 12:00 VGK game.. first only 1 big TV on and it was college football... we asked if the vgk game could be on and was asked what channel... we don't know directTV channels... so that was that... change of plans and decided to get a to go order. Long wait since the only person taking orders was also the bartender... so she was over on the bar side.. she finally came back and we ordered loaded fries, 2 piece tenders with fries, then added a 3rd tender... 2 lemonades, 1 soda and a cookie. Paid got our order and left... got home and there were only 2 tenders... so we paid an extra $3.99 for nothing. Want going to waste my time and miss more of the game we had come to watch...

This was a really simple order... hard to imagine missing the third tender... the last time we were in we had the same long wait to order because the one funny worker had to cover the bar also. Obviously, they need some sort of supervisor there to help facilitate everything. Local sports events should always be on and the customer shouldn't have to know the channel line up of a restaurants cable system...

The food was great, but it will be sometime before we consider going back.

Old review: Love the food... BUT, the lemonades are incredible... I get the Cucumber Mellon lemonade (not slush, just lemonade) and my wife and kids love the Blueberry Lavender lemonade.
