I have never been in her before, but I wanted to give soap making a try and I heard this was a great store with great pieces and wonderful people. Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but the store was great, the stuff they had that I needed not so much and the manager Latonya was no good. I came for a soap molds,I bought other things pertaining to soap, because it m there was a great sale. However the soap molds I came for were dusty, they were filthy. But I needed them. I said I'll see if they can just give me a discount at the register. I asked when I got the front. The cashier asked a young gentleman and he radio the manager, Latonya. He told her they were dusty and he even scraped and rubbed at them. She said no, I couldn't have the discount and to leave them there. She would be there with paper towels to clean them. Really? Really? So the thing I came for I need to leave because you don't want to give 10% discount because you don't care a enough to clean your store products properly until the customer needs them!!! Really? I almost left them, but they are what I came for. Please do not reply to this, because when you had a chance to do right, you didn't. I just wanted to do a fun craft before my surgery tomorrow to take my mind off of things!!! Thanks for falling off and not being a great representation of who you say runs your life, Hobby Lobby!!!...
Read moreI came to this location because it is closest to my job, so that it will be easy for me. I had a custom frame order with Mr. Germaine for my degrees. My order was ready for pick up, so I came in about 15-20 minutes after the store opened. I was quickly greeted by the lovely front-end associates and returned to the custom framing department. I wish Ms. Linda were as lovely as the front-end employees, but that was far from my experience. I was met with rudeness, a disrespectful tone, and eye-rolling. I'm not sure if Ms. Linda was having a bad morning, but that isn't something I should experience because I was very respectful and kind to her. After I was told to go to the front, I told the young lady at the register that I was waiting for Ms. Linda, but I needed to speak to the manager once I paid. She called Mr. Ed, and I expressed my experience and told him that he would lose customers if Ms. Linda continued to interact with customers the way she did with me. As long as Mr. Germaine is that, you're in fantastic hands! He was so kind, funny, understanding, and beyond helpful! If I need custom work again, I will ONLY deal with Mr. Germaine. If you encounter Ms. Linda, do so at...
Read moreI bought an LP frame here at the Laurel Maryland store that had a stressed area in it. When I unwrapped it from the plastic when ready to use, the glass simply cracked. I did not have a receipt, and I suspect that it got into my shred pile by mistake. :-) However, I was not concerned because of the store's exchange policy, or...so I thought. I had given this chain a LOT of business over the years in another State. Anyway, I brought the frame there for an exchange, and the cashier immediately called the manager on the phone. The manager promptly told her (without even looking at my item) "no exchanges without a receipt." PERIOD. I showed her the policy that is prominently displayed, and she showed me the disclaimer at the bottom that indicates it is up to store discretion to refuse return on "certain items." So, no exchange on defective items either? My item was not even looked at. The cashier was very nice, by the way. She was just following orders. I am taking this to corporate because I was a GOOD customer at their Jackson MS store and it seems that the Laurel (Maryland City) store has gotten away with this for too long. Will try shopping the Columbia store. 10...
