I want to save everyone the trip. I should have read the comments beforehand. I was recommended this place as a NEW customer and I received dishonest customer service before I could even enter!
Plot twist! THERE IS NO LAUREL JMD! IT WILL NOT OPEN UNTIL THEY FEEL LIKE IT!!!
3 weeks ago I called to buy a mattress set. When I arrived the store was closed. It was confusing cuz the website said they were open so I called and I was told by a rep that due to a covid situation (someone entered the store with Covid and got employees sick) they have to close and clean the whole entire store! Understandable! I understood immediately. I asked about availability and I was told to come back in 2 weeks, they will be open then and the items I was looking for was confirmed.
2 weeks later from that call, I called the store. The machine on the store said âAll locations are now back and running after Covid and we are still practicing rulesâ and their website says âcurrently openâ.
At the time I write this, if you call or go online it will say itâs open and running. I arrive and the store is gone (like itâs out of bussiness) and I call and speak to a rep. Iâm confused and my call Is remembered from the previous weeks and the rep apologizes again and tells me theyâre still Closed and itâs for another 2 weeks! Iâm here ready to buy my stuff and I called and the website and hotline says youâre open! The rep apologized and I asked for delivery. This store is 10 mins from me, the next store is 18 miles (37 mins). I asked for the inconvenience politely if they can either do free or 50% off delivery only! I need my mattress! The rep put me to the manager.
The manager apologized and when I asked him for a discount on delivery only or waive the fee, he told me to come to the other location, heâll âhelp meâ but he WONâT honor delivery. I tell him âI called your store, you told me to be patient and come back and I did, your website and number says your open. I donât want to drive 40 mins to another location when yours is here next to me. Sir Iâve wanted my stuff for weeks and I waited for you people. You even have a FB! It doesnât take 10 mins to announce it on your social medias or alter your numberâs message! This is not right, itâs dishonest and an inconvenience to customers. Look at the time Iâve wasted sir and you canât even off half off delivery or waive the fee?â
I donât think this was a bad thing to ask. A free delivery or half off! He said âNo, youâre right, sorry. Wait 2 more weeks or come drive to us and âweâll take care of you.â â
I told him, âyouâre not doing me any favors. Youâve inconvenienced me and wasted my time and this was suppose to be my first time here.â And I hung up after that.
This is my experience! I really want to avoid anyone going through what I went through 3 days ago. I will never go there again and I didnât even get to enter it!
DONâT GO THERE! THERE IS NO STORE! THEYâLL OPEN WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE IT! IâD JUST AVOID JMD! They seem more about money then really taking care of customers. I had to go to 4 stores before I found my stuff and ironically itâs way better than what I would have possibly gotten and seeing the comments on here.

I called JMD customer service on 8/12 regarding my issue and spoke with a rep named Whitney and was told the money was refunded. When I found that the money was not refunded I called back on 8/15 and spoke with a rep named Destiny and was advised she would need to speak with a manager to see if there was anything they could do. After a few days and no word from them I called back on 8/18 and spoke with destiny again and she advised since this order was placed online I should email the online department which I did and I received a response from Linda Williams on 8/30 stating they were going to provide me store credit for my order and to go in the store the same day and speak with Marcus (I think that is his name, he was the inventory manager) and it was confirmed by Marcus that I would receive 595.72 in store credit and he told me I had to use it that day. After picking out an items I wanted to purchase with my store credit and after waiting for 30 minutes to purchase my items he advise me that he would need to fax my order to Linda and to call her after 24 hours to complete my order. After 24 hours I called her on 8/31 and she stated she would call me back, I did not receive a phone call but an email that evening stating to call her. I called her the next day on 9/1 and left a message. She then returned my phone call and stated they will not honor the store credit that they told me they would give me because I waited to long to pick the furniture up. That is completely unfair to the customer because I purchased furniture and the company received payment but I did not get a product and they are going back on their word.    Read moreWe needed new couches. The manager gave us a tour and then we were able to look in his catalog to find something to meet our exact needs. He had our pick in his storage area and he let us see the material, color, and textures. He helped us arrange for delivery and set-up. He was very patient and informative. I know that he stood behind his product and he even helped us with layaway so that I could save up and break up my payment. The furniture was gorgeous and the crew was friendly as well. We are the proud owners of beautiful futon furniture and we were so glad to get rid of our old beat up set. Our dogs, kids, and guest have all applauded our choice! Functional and nice to look at!! My giant 110 lbs puppy and my little Boston approve and snore loudly as they enjoy being with the rest of the family and friends during movie time.
I went back and bought a full size mattress set w/metal frame for my sonâs room! He is siked, because the mattress I bought less than a year ago from Amazon is so deformed already!!! Iâm sure his back will love...
