Beware of this Michael's store for UPS drop-off. They are designated as UPS drop-off point, so I took a package there on Sunday, Dec 11. I have a UPS account, so I can easily track my packages. By Monday, the tracking info stated the package hadn't been picked up. By Tuesday, the same info was displayed. I tried, on and off, for FOUR hours to call the store, but every single time, the call got disconnected. I went to the store to see what the problem was. When I told them I had been trying to call, the cashier said "you know, we haven't had any calls today." She obviously never questioned this anomaly......
I inquired about my package and she called someone, a "manager" (supposedly) to come up front to assist me. So I waited. In the meantime I noticed two red cabinets that were labeled "UPS Pickup/Delivery" and being curious, I opened them up (the doors were already ajar and obviously not locked). Taped to the inside of the cabinet doors was a paper that stated something to the effect of "Take all UPS shipments to the back. We put them in this cabinet and forget about them and our guests' packages don't get shipped." THEN, I looked closer, and lo and behold, my package, the one I dropped off TWO DAYS AGO was still sitting in the cabinet.
About that time the "manager" arrived and asked if I had a shipment. I told her that no, THIS was my shipment (referring to the box I had retrieved) that I dropped off TWO DAYS AGO was still sitting here! She said (and this is the unreal part) "I'm told that it takes up to two weeks for UPS to pick up our packages." HAHAHA! How stupid does she think I am?
I took my package to The UPS Store that's close by and they took care of me. I relayed my story to them and they were like "No - we're in Michael's 3 or 4 times per day." So the manager flat-out lied to me (which was very apparent anyway) about the frequency of UPS pickup.
The bottom line to this story is that people should NEVER, EVER drop off UPS shipments at Michael's, and I am contacting UPS to see if they can strip Michael's of this "service".
Had I not been vigilant and returned to the store, my family would not have received their Christmas gifts on time...or at all.

Read moreThey always have sales going on. If nothing else, there’s always 20% off regular priced items, but 40-60% entire areas around the store at any given time. They also give an extra 20% off on all sale or regular priced items to educators. It doesn’t include the clearance items, but things with clearance prices are next to nothing already! Things on clearance can be found in the back of the store- all in one isle!
The one thing they price way too high are the artificial flowers, even on sale. I don’t think I’ve ever been there when they weren’t on sale either. A couple of times I have found one or two flowers or groups of flowers that were just within a reasonable price, while 60% off, but most of the time, I wouldn’t buy any fake flowers here. They are cheaper and just as, if not more attractive, regularly priced at Walmart.
The home decor and outside spring & summer decor are my favorite areas within Michael’s. They have some really neat stuff and you can always find a deal! It’s a good place to pick up picture frames and shadow boxes too!
Their arts and crafts selection appears to be fully exhaustive. They have DIY projects galore, from designing your own clothing line or using a circuit machine to embroider things around your house, to all the homemade jewelry you could ever want.

Read moreI was recommended to shop here for the crafts that I needed. Walked around the store for about 15 minutes trying to find help with my project. When I finally found someone who actually worked there I had to follow her around the store basically begging for help. She turned around and just looked at me. It wasn't until I threw my hands up like, come on, before she decided to help me. By this time I was fed up. She said she was helping another but I only saw 2 other people in the store. And she wasn't helping them. Probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Call back to ask for the stores managers named and she proceeded to talk over me and completely ignore the original request of what was the managers name. Looked like the perfect store for what I needed. But the customer service in store was horrible. Then I called the corporate number to file a complaint and the customer there was equally as bad.
