My hard drive crashed and would not boot. This computer had a VISTA OS and was 15 years old. I thought I had lost all my pictures, documents and downloads, ( wedding pictures, graduations, numerous trips etc). After trying several times to recover my data,, I thought everything was lost. I drive by this place every day and thought it wouldn’t hurt to bring my computer to a professional. I was greeted warmly by Henry. He looked at the inside of my old HP and noted several issues. He said he would try to recover my data and call me with the results. He called me the NEXT DAY and said he could retrieve ALL my data. When he told me how much it would cost, I was shocked. His price was almost three times LOWER than the “professionals I had called in the past. He was also able to supply me with a 1T hard drive to copy the data on to also much less that the competition. He immediately began to transfer all the data and it was ready for pick up by the time I left work. Henry and HI Computers were professional, courteous, reasonably priced and quick. HL Computer was very nice and hospitable to me. I had an issue with a corrupted external HDD drive. I was devastated since all of my pictures were contained in that drive. I was appreciative of Henry for recommending a SSD drive. He explained the difference between it and the HDD drive. I was on pins and needles waiting for a response as to whether my pics could be retrieved. I was relieved when Henry informed me that he was able to retrieve all of my pics. I purchased a SSD external drive and provided it to Henry to download my pics to. Now the only part that was a little difficult to swallow was the price tag that came along with it. It cost me an additional $195 to get my pictures retrieved and downloaded on the new SSD drive. I didn't have a choice because that is the only way that I would get access to all of my pictures again. But I can't help but have felt taken advantage of since I was between a rock and a hard place. I have been a patron of HL Computer for numerous years, having acquired or upgraded several computers there. Henry has consistently provided invaluable assistance and expertise, effectively addressing all of my computer-related concerns. The showroom and support area are maintained in a tidy, clean, and well-organized manner. On a recent occasion, I required an upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11. While the initial cost appeared somewhat substantial, upon realizing that Henry was not only updating to Windows 11 with a new computer featuring an updated motherboard but also incorporating a Wi-Fi board, transferring the CD-ROM drive, and migrating all of my programs to avoid reinstallation, the final cost proved to be quite reasonable.
