I visited this business this past Saturday. I was excited, I LOVE donuts and supporting B.O.B.s! Service - Order was correct but not impressed otherwise. Energy - Not impressed Establishment - Clean but no one was wearing hairnets. Product - Fresh yet MINIMUM flavor pop on 3 out of 4 of my flavors. You can see the difference in glaze thickness, compared to my order and their photos.
Someone from the business DELETED or HID my feedback on their FB, so hereâs my feedback.
I had a very UNWELCOMING & RUDE GREETING: Upon entering the store, the ENTIRE staff was in a boastful laugh looking at me. I thought I triggered something at the door. With my look of confusion, I was about to ask did I miss a joke? The girl closest to the door states, âI told everyone an AL fan was coming in!â Iâm still CONFUSED on what was funny. She proceeds and states sheâs a GA fan, go Dawgs! I said, OK?! Still looking confused, on whether I walked into a Pub or Barbershop or a Donut Shop.
I felt INSULTED! I was about to walk out. This was definitely NOT the greeting expected, especially coming to support YOUR business! The girl states she was related to the owners, which whom also partook in the RUDE greeting. I suggest, you keep your personal affairs AWAY from clients. I will NOT be returning. I wouldâve walked out but I assumed that wouldâve given your inferior relative too much pleasure.
Aside from those antics, service was EXTREMELY SLOW. There was ZERO urgency on preparing the orders. There were 1 person ordering when I walked in and 1 waiting, both of them including my order werenât LARGE orders. They had 2 girls working on decorating. No indication nor a lot of space to stand waiting for your order in their small lobby. The morale was DEAD, aside from them getting a good belly laugh at me entering their shop.
Definitely NOT supporting again, for more...
Read moreOkay so. There was 1 on register and 2 people prepping. I went on a Saturday morning. The main issue I have is that they fry the doughnuts to order (which sounds perfect right?) however- they max out at 5 flavors. They have about 14 âflavorsâ (which are actually just toppings), but all of the doughnuts are cooked exactly the same. Same base/batter. So due to âlabor shortageâ and not to overwhelm their 2-person crew, they ask that customers NOT order more than 5 flavors because each flavor (topping) is hand-prepped by 2 people. So the base flavor is IDENTICAL but the TOPPINGS vary. Here is the problem with that logic- they are essentially saying âwe are only 2 people and we donât feel like overwhelming ourselves with 6 or more toppings.â Hereâs a solution: Make all of the doughnuts and keep them on a low warm, once itâs time to add toppings- add toppings in an assembly-line fashion and let the customers choose however many toppings they want (like Cold Stone Creamery) and charge when someone goes over 3 toppings. That way people will be inclined to try more than 1 flavor (topping), the customer leaves happy, and your workers arenât overwhelmed. I tried 5 flavors (about $24) and honestly wasnât impressed. The base (batter) is good and consistency of mini doughnut-cakes. But The toppings were super basic. Stuff that kids would like (strawberry jam, Boston cream, sprinkles, etc). I prefer doughnuts that are more airy? Not cake like. Overall, the doughnuts were tasty but not worth coming back. Especially since it would take multiple trips just to try all 14 flavors. Try for yourself, you...
Read moreDecided to try this place out after seeing the FB event for Bluey meet and greet. The meet and greet was cool, my niece loves Bluey, and with the price of $17 per child, you can take a pic with Bluey and get a kids' Bluey inspired milkshake. I like supporting local businesses, especially Black owned businesses, but I wish the meet and greet was organized better. No one was checking tickets, people standing everywhere crowding up the lobby, so I'm sure there were ppl who got their kids' free pics and shakes.
Besides, we ordered the strawberry and caramel milkshakes. It was absolutely delicious, best I had in a long time. We were in the area again on Sunday minutes before closing they were still up and running, and Bluey was back again! My niece got to dance with Bluey while this time we ordered donuts. Omg, donuts were also delicious. I don't think it matters what flavor you get. The taste of the donut itself is all you need. We grabbed a 6 pack to split, but honestly, we all needed a 6 pack for each to ourselves. This will be our new family dessert spot. Plan to visit again and treat my other niece to her birthday.
Friendly suggestion, we would like to see another character meet and greet but suggest that someone is maintaining the door checking for paid customers and also please make sure the costume is clean lol....poor Bluey was so stained before the event started đ. It was funny and disturbing to see lmao. Overall great milkshakes, atmosphere, and magically...
