Dining out is an opportunity that we always look for, to have a good food experience and an opportunity to enjoy a good experience. To create many beautiful, unforgettable memories. A few weeks ago, I visited Ihop restaurant on Lawrenceville-Suwanee rd, which left much to be desired. My experience was not what I expected at all; I would never recommend IHOP to anyone who wants to have a good dinner. Let me tell you some reasons that I would not recommend anyone to go to Ihop.
First of all, their service was so disappointing when we entered the restaurant. I walked into the restaurant with one of my friends. There was no one from the staff and many other customers were waiting. Finally, after several minutes we got seated. The table was not clean. Every time we called someone to come and serve us, they said “we’re busy; just wait”. We had to wait for another 15 minutes for the waiter to come take our order. Finally, when the waiter came, and I told him to clean the table he said someone will come to clean it. What is your order? We ordered our meal and asked another time for table cleaning, but we were ignored, and we had to wait for another 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The service was so slow and we could barely find someone to ask about our order.
The vibes of the restaurant were not like what I expected at all. The lighting was dim, the music was too loud, I had a hard time being able to talk with my friend and it was so hot inside, and the restaurant smelled so bad I could smell fried egg and other food it wasn't good at all. I was so mad. However, the atmosphere was not conducive to having a pleasant meal. The plant, spoon and fork we got were not properly cleaned well. The restroom was in very bad condition, the soap was empty and no towels to dry my hands. The floor was full of dirt or mud. It was so dirty. Any restaurant must have clean conditions and vibes. The dining hall and restroom were not clean, which is unacceptable for any dining place. They should take steps for public hygiene and for customer service.
When we got our meal after a long wait, I was shocked by how the food looked. I ordered one classic burger, and my friend ordered a world-famous pancake combo with one milkshake. The food was not even warm, the burger bun and the veggies inside the burger were not fresh and the meat was overcooked. My friend's pancake had a lot of syrup and we both couldn't eat our meal. The milkshake was fine, but still not the best. I was really upset with the food quality for how it looked and tested.
When we were about to pay, I went to the cashier and asked why the price was high for bad service and food wasn't even eaten. The person at the cashier was so rude. He said “who cares, we served you” I felt shocked and disappointed by his treatment. I had to pay money for nothing which was unfair, and I felt grief.
In conclusion, I was very frustrated with their poor service, the food quality, lack of cleanliness, high prices everything turned into a very bad experience. If you are looking for pleasant dining with family or friends don't go to Ihop. I was reading customer reviews and found many similar complaints about the bad service. Ihop is not the best restaurant, and I would not recommend it to anyone due to its bad service and others. There are much better dining places that you can go and enjoy, which offer excellent service, better prices, high food quality and better hygiene and atmosphere. Absolutely I would never go again to Ihop due to its...
Read moreI frequent IHOP often and usually enjoy my experiences. However, this one location that's near my job in Lawrenceville (on Lawrenceville Suwanee) is one of the worst that I've had to encounter. There have been several instances where I have been hitvwith unnecessary charges, e.g. getting charged for extra syrup after being issued one small cup of syrup for three large pancakes! Imagine being charged already for 3 decent sized pancakes and given insufficient amount of syrup and expect you to pay for more syrup that should be given as adequate amounts for taste, particularly when pancakes are your main staple for your business. Another instance is most recent. I only have been to this location mid day for lunch break. Mind you, my break is thirty minutes, ao my time is very valuable. I order online and my food is ready. I take it to my car. I ordered the Colorado omelet that typically comes with salsa. Guess what? It's not in the bag nor plastic container that the omelet comes in. No big deal. I walk back in and ask for the salsa and the young lady gives a slick remark saying that it was in the bag! I immediately let her and the servant that was dealing with me that it was not, which is the reason I came back in. People are too quick to speak and not think that they could have made an error. This agitated me. I received the salsa finally and went to the car. Now Ive wasted more time, but am ready to eat. Wait a minute, I open the utensil bag and the only thing in there is butter and one syrup of course! No fork! I went back in fuming! I asked for the utensil and the manager. I tild her what happened and she stated that their policy now is to not issue utensil unless requested. This should be a courtesy if I am a patron of your restaurant and if I pay inside that may indicate if I tip or not to go. The worst location ever! No experience like this at...
Read moreOur overall experience with this IHop location was "different," but we enjoyed ourselves and even became friendly with the family sitting in the booth next to us seeing that we were able to relate on the experience at the same time. In going into our experience, first of all our hats go off to one awesome waitress by the name of Trinity; just awesome!! Sometimes the people who work at these places can't control a lot, but when you have someone like Trinity who did not dwell on the fact that their water machine was not working in order to serve a glass of water to customers, the fact that they did not have the ability to make a pitcher of tea...but could only make one glass at a time, the fact that they had no tomatoes, their soda machine was producing flat soda, they did not have any more clean glasses and had to use plastic cups, no spinach was available and no manager in site at the time to open the safe to make change for a customer that was trying to pay with cash. Trinity gave us such great service and with a beautiful smile and an overall calm nature. The couple beside us had a different waitress but Trinity was kind and served them as well because they had been there before us waiting to be served. She remained calm, professional and did not complain and took the situation with a grain of salt. I'd surely give her 10 stars if possible and promote her to Manager...however the restaurant putting those ladies in a predicament like that to set them up for possible failure, is just wrong. We understand things happen and in this case the resturant still put out good food despite not having a lot of things and it was a pleasure to befriend the family next to us, having Trinity there to serve us and just sharing a great moment with one another. Come on IHOP, we know you've got...
