Summit at Layton — Local services in Layton

I've been living here for a little over a year. The apartments are fine, though they do lack storage space so I've had to rent a storage unit down the street. My biggest complaint would be the new management company, Concept Property Management. Seriously, if you're looking for some where to live and these folks are the property managers, do not even bother. There is never a property manager on site, you have to call into there business line to even talk to a real person. When we first moved here the maintenance guy was awesome. He would have everything fixed with in 24 hours. Now with the new property managers and maintenance, it takes up to 2 weeks before something is even looked at. The price of these apartments when we first moved in was awesome for what we got, but the prices have been raised a lot, along with a lot higher prices on utilities. It seems like the new property mangers also look for any little reason to fine you. I know that a lot of people in the community were charged 75 dollars due to having items like bicycles and other items on their back porch. Today my water just unexpectedly stopped running. When I called the maintenance line the lady helping me acted like my call was a waste of her time. She was very impatient and rude and pretty much hung up on me after she took my complaint. Do yourself a favor, don't look at these apartments. Find some where where the management and owner actually care about...

Because you can't do a negative star. You literally get way over charged for rent, get charged extra water for the property's overuse of the sprinkler system. Are charged for lousy parking, for their property taxes and anything else they can throw in. Maintenance does not respond, management is NEVER on site and doesn't answer when you call. They threaten to evict for having one little thing on your patio or lack thereof, but refuse to deal with the smokers on the alleged smoke free campus. When you do complain and do get responses they suggest that your lease will not be renewed. The signage is falling apart. The kids are allowed to climb on the roofs, they run the complex and are out until 11 pm screaming and yelling. The apartment was half ready to move into and we are still waiting for the work orders that were promised to be completed. The book keeping stinks. You get no explanation for charges you dispute and instead of explanations you get threatened for eviction. They have gone through 6 property management companies and more managers than can be counted. Need an apartment. Don't look here. The costs equal a mortgage. Save yourself the aggravation. Cant wait until my lease is up. The new management company are nothing but bullies!! Can't wait until my lease is up. Not that they'd give a decent rental...

If i could rate 0 stars I would this place is horrible I've lived here for over a year and the are never in office never answer phones they only email you and it takes months for their email back their Maintenance sucks they've had someone come to fix my air Conditioning and heater 4 times now and it is still broken I've got broken windows and was promised new windows for a year now when I first moved into this place their was damage to the carpet and they told me before I signed my lease that they'd fix it its now a year still isn't fixed instead of them coming and laying down salt in winter time they've left one bucket of salt in each area for us to do ourselves they have a portal you pay rent through that never works and even though it isn't your fault youll be charged late fees and get kicked out. The Maintenance dude has threatened to kick me out multiple times for things that have nothing to do with me i pay 3k and up a month for this place rent is never ever the same each month this is a house payment save yourself the trouble go buy a house or find a better place I can't wait toget our of this place also they'll charge you gad and power through rent and make you pay...
