Today my daughter, from out of town, and I came into the store. We had a baby and a 3 year old in our arms. We were holding them because of the type of store we were going into. We were immediately greeted with a 5 minute lecture about the "rules" if you have children. It was disappointing that the lecture took so long and that it was presumptuous that we would be irresponsible with our children. We have been to several antique stores along the wasatch front and, not once, been greeted with "rules" while we were in their store. Quite the contrary actually. We were told that any item damaged would not be able to be replaced, which also presumes that we are irresponsible and would not pay if there were a problem. We are responsible parents and very aware of the environment we are entering at all times. We took a brief look around and felt so upset from the way we were treated that we left. In hindsight we should have left mid lecture. So very disappointed about how we were treated. While I'm writing a review I will mention that the store is overly crowded with merchandise. The items are not displayed in a way that demonstrates the said value of the items she claims to cherish. It is very difficult to see items because of the overwhelming...
Read moreWent in to browse. I know nothing about souvenir teaspoons but I remember my mom having them when I was little so I wanted to start finding my own. I found some I really liked and caved. I bought 6 of them for $5 each so $30 for all 6. I felt that was a bit pricey but didnt know if I'd ever find ones like this again or how much normal souvenir spoons sell for. Let me say I REALLY should have done research. When I got home I decided I wanted to try and find more online. I found a set of 16, of the same spoons I just bought from this store 6 for $30, on Amazon for $13 🤦♀️ making the ones on amazon about $0.82 per spoon. FOR THE EXACT SAME ONES! Im not one to make a huge fuss and stomp in demanding a refund so I'll keep the spoons but I wont be shopping at this antique shop again because my specific items I feel were definitely overpriced. The store was cluttered making it difficult and kind of scary to walk around in, in fear of my purse snagging something due to how much stuff is displayed in such a way that it would be easy to accidentally break something. It made the whole experience a bit...
Read moreI loved browsing this antique shop up until my last visit.. I always come in here to find pretty trinkets and brass statues. My last visit I found a cute brass horse, a brass horn and a crystal jar.. I went to check out and the owner said "oh you found the horse!" And I replied with telling her I loved it and had to have it. She then asked me what her employee priced it at and I held it up to see the tag for $10. When I said $10, She practically took it out of my hands with her words. "Oh no give that to me. This is not $10. I have to get at least double what I paid, So $25". I handed it to her and she proceeded to tell me " yeah you would snatch that up for $10". Almost implying that I put a price tag on it myself. I was so embarrassed by this interaction that was witnessed by at least 4 people standing beside me. I put the rest of what I was going to buy down and walked out. I think that was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. Prices change each time I'm in there as well so that's a bummer. I truly don't think I'll ever be back because that experience really...
