Game Grid Layton — Local services in Layton

This place is awesome. I went there for booster draft. They still draft final fantasy which (as of this writing) is the previous set. The current set is edge of eternities. We had just barely enough players for the draft. Its a bit of a drive for me to make it here for the draft but it is well worth the drive. They have many precons there which I can't find anywhere else. I bought the Sauron precon which was priced at 49.99. they have many experienced players there and everyone is just the best. If you ever have time, talk to Dave. He's the owner. As a returning player, I found Dave to be a valuable resource for how mtg has matured over the years. This is such a great 'little' game store. The staff engage you the moment you come through the door. There is a great selection of board games, CCGs, and miniatures to choose from. I drive by three other game stores (one of them being another Game Grid) to check out this store and its clearance/discount table on a regular basis. The store has a good amount of game tables and a great selection of demo board games to try. It's clean and comfortable.

The only hit against Game Grid Layton is that parking can occasionally be tight in the front and the parking in the back requires you to hike around the building. Not a huge gripe but it is there. Game Grid Layton is a great lgs. They have a friendly and knowledgeable staff whom I have gotten to know over the last couple years, being a Layton resident. David and Tyler consistently make me feel welcomed every time I come in, I am a little envious of his wife’s cooking, though that’s my own hurdle to overcome.
