So I usually love BBD but the service is going down hill. It was a Wednesday afternoon not busy but full at all so we thought it would be an easy experience, not the case. We needed a table big enough for 4 adults and a child and the hostess was trying to put us in a booth. My husband has a muscle disease and can't get up from booths unless it's the bigger booth but the hostess wouldn't seat us there because she said it's for larger parties. I thought 5 people were large but ok. Then she wanted to go to the back of the restaurant where there are tables with room around them and the waitress said no because she was leaving soon. So we waited and there were more dirty tables than tables occupied. We were entertaining friends from out of state and we thought this would be a good experience. We normally get our orders to go so we haven't had much time in the restaurant. When our waitress came to take her our order she wasn't very friendly and didn't explain anything about the food we were orderingor ask us any questions. She didn't offer any information. My husband ordered an omelet and she didn't ask what kind of toast he wanted so when he got his omelet there was a huge dinner roll on his plate. He asked her if that was the only choice of bread because he can't swallow that kind of bread and she said "if you change the bread I have to take the entire plate back to the kitchen and get a new one". I've never heard of that before, then my husband just handed her the roll and said he didn't want to wait for a new plate and he would like toast, she took the roll and said "alright I'll see what I can do" like he was asking for something unheard of. My coffee cup ran dry and I finally got one refill and when we were almost finished but not yet she came by and said "so are you guys gonna want any more drinks?" And then she walked off. Our bill was over 100$ with the 18% tip I gave her, which she didn't earn. I can tell the quality of service had gone down in the last year because even our to go orders have to be checked because they leave things out of our orders like going through a drive through fast food place. I'm sad because I love the food from here but with the lack of service it's...
Read moreThis is my favorite restaurant in the valley. This place makes you feel at home. The staff is super friendly. Very attentive and helpful. I could list servers staff and management that always go the extra mile. From my favorite server, Camila, to managers like Luis or Edgar, that will always greet you with a smile. This restaurant has a vib of happiness due largely because of this staff. They take pride in work and serving the best they can. Expect a great greeting with a warm smile and a quick response from your server. Even packed with slow order times. The kitchen ramps the game up to serve a full house. With smiles and laughter. You can sit at the bar and feel like you are the most important person in the restaurant. They treat all customers with a real sincere happy greeting. Even the staff from the back when they pass through will greet folks with a very happy smile. Ladies like Johavet, Val, and Lindsey, Flor, just to name a few. Will with an amazing memory great you like an old friend. They are the most attentive staff I have ever seen at any restaurant. Being a truck driver in the past, I have seen many. None with this level of service. There is magic in this place, one that is built from the heart. This places magic spreads to the customers. Just listen to the chatter laughs and happy tones. It has also gotten to people to be kinder to each other. With random meals paid by strangers , it's more common. The food is not always the taste of home but they make it in a wonderful way. It is fresh and made with the same love our families remember. I only with they did a true sausage gravy from scratch. This place would explode with business. So this gets the highest rating because the staff make it special. It is a chain restaurant certainly. But managed with love and caring. I hope and believe fostered by management above this location. This place is magic and love. A gem in Layton where most feel like service is lacking this place reminds you of how...
Read moreCustomer service is a joke, everyone there doesn't have a smile on their face. In my line of work, it all about customer service. We have a great working team and relationships with our clients. When ever we leave they are waving and they have a big smile on their face. Every time I get a take-out order, something gets forgotten. Most of the time it's a side of fruit. All of the time except for today my wife says "they forgot my fruit ". So she called them to get a credit or something like that so we didn't have to drive back there. They said they couldn't do that. So I left and drove down there 15 minutes drive to the restaurant. I was greeted by the host and I said " I'm here for my fruit that you guys forgotten to put in the bag, some one here just talked to my wife about it". He said ok. I also said " sence you guys messed up. You should ( keyword SHOULD) throw in 3 pies." He said I ca throw. In one pie. I said well I got 3 reasons you should throw in 3. You guys messed up My dinner is getting cold I had to come back to get the fruit( gas and time) He went back to get the manager. She said you are getting the fruit and nothing else, because you came in demanding free stuff. I said I never demanded anything but what you forgot. I told her, I told the greater that you guys "should, not you are" I guess SHOULD is a demanding word now. Long story short I got the fruit. Then took my 15 min drive home to a cold dinner. She didn't handle that so the customer is happy and in good favors with that company. So now in today's world, if someone messed up, the company doesn't try to keep you as a customer and say I'm very sorry here are discount coupons or something. As a contractor myself if I or someone from my team does something wrong to a customer property or messed up, I apologize or they do and we make it right in their favor and in their heart. That's why I'm never with out work and I get...
