Long overdue review: I’m giving five stars on behalf of Russel and his amazing team there. I wrote a scathing and terrible review a couple weeks ago thinking it would grab the attention of corporate, but it ended up going to local management. Russel did not beat around the bush on the multiple issues I mentioned and was very transparent on how physical improvements and maintenance to the gym were to the discretion to corporate. He was very understanding and acknowledged my concerns. Thank you again for being courteous, respectful, and professional.
Here’s the reality of this specific gym, in my opinion with the perspective of a 30-something year old white collar worker, recently finished his 6.5 year active duty contract, and lives by himself with no kids. I have been a member since December 2022, and these are my observations:
Pros: -one of two EoS gyms in the entire state that has a steam room. The other is Ogden -It’s an older, more mature crowd with sprinkles of youth due to the proximity of the high school across the street. Don’t be surprised if you see a 60-year old grandpa knock out 405lbs on the bench press. They’re super friendly too if you need a spotter. -Standard equipment for all types of lifters, but overcrowding is an issue that is almost impossible to solve no matter how much fitness equipment they install. -HANDS DOWN the best water pressure in the men’s locker room showers! I have only showered at the Roy and West Jordan locations outside of this gym…and it takes me 10 minutes just to soak myself at those other gyms. -Knowledgeable trainers, special shout out to my trainer, Cam, in helping achieve my 1,000lbs club fitness goal!
Cons: -The building itself is from the 1960s-70s. There’s a leaking roof in multiple locations of the gym. Don’t be surprised if you see a catch bucket here and there. They can’t fix the roof till this long winter has finally passed. As a result, I highly suggest you use a fitness/yoga mat when doing abs or ground work. The stench of the dirty water mixed into the turf where the buckets don’t catch smell pretty gnarly… -If you’re a somewhat of a runner like me, most (over 75%) of the treadmills have a safety feature than wouldn’t let you go faster than 5mph. They’re about 40 treadmills in total as well. Find a treadmill that works and stick to it forever. Don’t play the guessing game like I do. -Good luck finding parking come after work peak hours. It’s a small parking lot shared with a couple other local businesses. Be patient and people come and go constantly. -There are only 5x power lifting platforms/squat racks and they get filled up fast! -The state of the men’s locker room bathroom…again, the building is from the 1960s/1970s, so don’t be surprised of a loose toilet seat or two.
My last comment if you read all of this so far: is this is gym is as good or bad, as you make it to be. Sure the steam room is a bit dirty/gross sometimes because people go in there with their workout shoes that they trotted in with, but the staff has their predetermined cleaning schedules. It’s a great gym for a good value where you don’t have to worry about fitness influencer(s) hogging up the free weight racks and posing in front of the mirror like in the newer gyms (Roy).
I hope this review gives an accurate and unbiased representation of the current state of this gym for whoever reads this.
EDIT 1 (04/03/2023): Mr. Collin Devino, respectfully, I do not need your auto-generated response. It shows lack of sincerity in the engagement of your members as I have seen in most of the previous Google reviews for this gym. Please give due diligence like Curtis has and make a genuine acknowledgment and/or take the initiative to make improvements to this well-deserved and well-overdue gym.
EDIT 2 (04/14/2023): Got to give proper credit to Russel*! Thank you for the...

EOS Prioritizes Their Interests—Not Yours I've been an EOS member for 7-8 years, including through the COVID era, and up until now, my experience has been decent. However, my recent experience with their referral program has completely changed my view.
A few months ago, I encouraged some friends (a family of four) to join EOS, and they did—signing up for both memberships and personal training. EOS advertises that if you refer three people in a month, you’ll receive a free year, provided they stay for at least three months. Wanting to ensure everything was properly recorded, I spoke with a front desk employee, Lyndsey (she's been great), who assured me my referrals were correctly marked.
After waiting the required three months, I noticed I was still being charged. I gave it another month in case there was a delay, but the charges kept coming. I returned to EOS and spoke with Lyndsey again, who escalated the issue to her manager, Taylor. I was told to check back in a few days. This cycle repeated for weeks: "Check back in a few days."
Eventually, I found out Taylor had transferred to another gym, meaning I had to start over with a new manager. More waiting, more runarounds. I remained patient, assuming EOS would honor their promise.
Finally, I was handed off to a different employee (Kylee or something), and after reviewing my case, she quickly informed me that since too much time had passed, they could no longer grant the free year. She was polite, but a polite brush-off is still a brush-off. When I expressed my frustration, she simply repeated that there was nothing she could do. I left feeling both surprised and irritated.
Ironically, while writing this, I noticed Kylee is also the person who responds to all the Google reviews with the same canned message: "Please contact me so we can resolve this." Well, Kylee, I already did, and you didn’t resolve anything. So don’t bother pasting the same scripted response here—you know how to reach me if EOS actually wants to make this right.
I will gladly update this review if EOS follows through on their commitments. Until then, I can’t recommend trusting their referral program—or their willingness to do what’s right for...
Read moreOne of the best gyms I’ve been a member of. If you’re someone looking for a solid gym to go to, this one is legit. They have such a large variety of equipment for every body part and multiple rooms for different purposes. My favorite day is leg day, which they have a really good selection of equipment for and lots of squat racks, which is a must. For calves they have a seated donkey calve raise, not many gyms have a variation of a donkey calve raise. There are two entire racks of dumbbells and they go up to I believe 150lbs so you’ll never run into not being able to use the weight you need to keep that pump going and enough weight for you to get swole, if that’s your thing. They also have plenty of different types of bands, an entire rack of kettlebells and a large selection of attachments for the cables. All the equipment in the gym hits really well so you get the most out of the work you put into your lifts. Some gyms will have some equipment that doesn’t feel like it hits the muscle that well. As for the rooms they have the weight room, a turf room with a sled and other goodies, a room that has a squat set up with multiple areas to do squats or other compound lifts, pull ups, etc. and there are boxes to do plyometrics, as well as the kettlebell rack. Then they have a cardio cinema which is my favorite place to do cardio. Then there is a studio room for classes and I believe a spin room. Honestly you can create so many different workouts because there’s such a large variety of things to do. The staff is super friendly and they seem like a place that’s not just about business. It’s about creating a great environment so doing the actual business and handling your membership needs seems like it will be an easy process. McKayla at the front desk, stands out and is always super friendly walking into the gym and Mindy is so understanding and goes above and beyond. Lastly, the memberships there have been some of the most affordable memberships I’ve come across when signing...
