Hobby Lobby — Local services in League City

Do not bring your kids here! First let me say, I LOVE Hobby Lobby normally. I have been coming to this location for several years and have been nothing but delighted. Today I was beyond disappointed! The manager (Carl Kirby) was extremely rude and disrespectful to me and my niece and nephews. It seemed like he was following us around the store, every time I turned around he was behind me asking them to move out of his way. He was walking around with a cart like a customer, so it was very strange. When we got to the checkout the cashier (who was very polite and just doing her job) said I wasn't able to use my coupon. I understood, but here came the manager. He was very blunt with what seemed like zero customer service experience. I told him I wouldn't be back to this location after the way he spoke to me but he didn't seem to care one bit. I even told him I would be leaving this review. Upon leaving we overheard another couple with three children complaining about him as well. It seemed to me that maybe he doesn't want families...

Soooo many staff milling about by the one register actually checking customers out. I understand not being on a register and not having one to jump on, but it sure adds to the aggravation of standing in line for 20 minutes while 4 to 6 staff are visibly just standing while the one poor girl checking tries to keep her head above water. I mean come on they don't help bag, and if a price check is needed forget it either you or your cashier has to leave and verify because the folks on their phones simply cannot be bothered. Thank you to the young lady who apparently needs to be running the show. She was polite, prompt, attentive, and NOT ON HER PHONE NOR JUST STANDING LOOKING OFF BLANKLY WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO REMIND THEM THEY ARE AT WORK. Thank you sweet lady. I love this Hobby Lobby the most out of all of the others around me due to it's location and the vast/always-overflowing clearance section. FYI: the prices here on clearance are nearly ALWAYS lower than/drop down faster/last longer than the other locations nearby. I've tested this on several different occasions with several different purchases.

Also, I just personally prefer the layout of this location and find it to have a wider selection within the individual departments (jewelry making department for sure!)

The only two real complaints I have is the fact that very few workers seem to know what the sales are and the 8pm closing time which, without fail, is accompanied by a 15-20 minute wait to check out because the 2 measly lines open aren't sufficient enough to quickly check out the 38 people who need to checkout. #StayOpenLater #YallAlreadyHaveSundaysOff...
