Space Center RV Park — Local services in League City

Warning: Do not stay. Watch the YouTube videos on Space Center RV Park. There was NEVER working wifi here. I had to rely on my own cellular data. I was forced to leave early in my second month due to an illegal utility disconnect and swatting call by Amir. We rode out Hurricane Beryl here. The power went out mid-storm but came back same-day by some miracle. The first month was great. There were showers, toilets with bidet, on-site wash and dry, in ground pool, and two lit bridges with wildlife to look at. Utilities - trash, water, sewer, and electric - were included. After Beryl, we started having power outages. Many of the RV power boxes were damaged or open, infested with red wasps. We developed an ant infestation from outside to inside. Remedied ourselves. Twice we had high water in the park and raw sewage began backing up from park sewer into rv sewer hose and lots. It flooded with fast-moving water flowing over lot 604 and others. The big problem was when the power outages started. After it happened several times, we were unplugged by Daryl under the manager's direction. Amir told me the meter was very hot despite only running two ac units inside - one 8k and one 10k btu unit because my roof unit went out. It was very hot in our RV. Staff touched my property and disconnected power without notice, leaving us without AC or refrigeration. He came to confront me and got angry that I was videotaping. He told me my car belonged in a scrap yard. I left for the day after talking to him with my son. My son is very heat sensitive due to a medical condition and had high blood pressure. At 8:30 the next morning, Amir calls me. I go to the office at 10 am. He demands more money and says they charged us 30 dollars less than the rate. He said he wanted more money than the prepaid all-inclusive rate as our electric usage was higher than expected. I said that is not my error, but yours. I have a receipt. He was billing me extra for an all-inclusive utility rate after the fact. He was trying to strongarm my family for more money after we had paid in advance for the whole month. I refused because this was retaliation for my complaint about illegal poeer disconnect. We pre-paid. I said I would call the BBB as this was illegal for him to demand more money after making a deal and being in contract term pre-paid. When I mentioned the BBB, he exclaimed, "Don't threaten me, I will call 911." It's on YouTube. The police called me while away from home. I explained,"This man was not truthful. The guy lost his temper. I did nothing wrong in simply asking to be left alone." Multiple police showed according to a neighbor. We had to take out a loan, break down our RV site, and leave 8 days early because after this incident, it was too much. It was uncalled for. We felt unsafe in the park after that. We stayed indoors most of the time prior to July 29 and 30, 2024, when these things with the manager happened. He did not like my tone or that I spoke to him in a slightly raised voice. Both were appropriate because all of my food was put at risk. I have kids. We were survivors of violent and special crimes before arriving in the park and sought to have peace. We just wanted to be left alone. He needs to repair his electrical system. We didn't seek a refund. Escalations could have been avoided if Amir had honor, apologized, and billed us normally. Amir called 911 to file false report telling them I threatened him, which was an outright lie implying that there was a violent ultimatum (I never said anything or used swear words of any kind. I had a witness. We recorded our interactions and uploaded them to YouTube. Swatting and false reporting are serious crimes. A large police response showed up. I was contacted by Police and provided proof he lied. The police could have killed members of my family given false information they were provided. If he tries something dishonest and you don't comply, he sends police to terrorize you and your family.Record everything. Avoid if you value privacy and dignity

I'm staying here while completing oncology treatments nearby, and finalizing a home purchase. What should have been a quiet recovery turned into daily anxiety due to staff harassment.

Staff member Georgia has been terrorizing me for months: She comes onto my rented lot daily to document my dog's bathroom habits (he's recovering from pancreatitis and only uses my space, which I clean). Her supervisor Amir told her to back off months ago (on video), but she continues this obsessive behavior.

Recent escalation: When I politely mentioned someone had been on my property, Georgia became hostile (video documented). Later, when my Ring camera alerted me to someone on my lot while I was out, I called for a courtesy patrol. Georgia then confronted me, called me a "troublemaker," and obsessed about my dog instead of addressing the legitimate safety concern.

Management issues: Video shows Amir following Georgia onto my property to snoop, then telling her "it's fine, let's go" - completely undermining his own previous directive. Zero accountability for staff harassment of a disabled person undergoing oncology treatment.

Illegal practices: Notice the sudden wave of 5-star reviews? Management offered perks for good ratings, which violates federal law. This is also not an ADA compliant property.

Bottom line: This is systematic harassment with video evidence. If you're dealing with illness, disability, or just want to be left alone on your rented space, stay elsewhere. The environment is hostile and management enables problematic staff behavior.

The power boxes and many of the rvs are infested with red wasps which get much more numerous and active in spring and summer. We found ourselves having wasps come into the house and chase us when walking around outside our rv. The sewer overflowed twice during heavy summer rains. The lot and parking flooded. There were potholes and ruts in the back of the park. Worst of all, the manager cut off our power after we pre-paid in advance for a full month of electric water trash and lot rent. Our food went bad. He came to my lot and confonted me, blamed his maintenance man, then told me my car belonged in a scrap yard when I told him his rv power boxes were damaged in many places and needed repairs. The following mornjng, he called me and then demanded more money when I visited the office before we were due to pay again. This man had black vines tattooed on his arms and long black hair. He was Middle Eastern. I believe his name was Amir. He threatened to call 911 when I told him to leave us alone for the last week we were there and suggested I would report him to the BBB for criminal business conduct. A deal is a deal. You do not get to demand more money three weeks after we paid in full simply because we will not let you abuse us. He lied to police and said we threatened him, which generated a large police response from League City Police Department. Fortunately, I got it all on video recording.
