I would like to start by saying that everyone at this clinic is very kind, but I overall wasnāt impressed with the quality of care and treatment. Iāve had issues for the last year because of it and am now having to redo most of the dental work I had done here elsewhere. Staff could be a bit unprofessional at times as well.
At my first routine cleaning appointment last year, I had a significant number of cavities and was given a treatment plan. The office had no issues contacting my insurance company and making me an estimate, and I was very happy they accepted Care Credit since my total treatment plan was over $1000 out of pocket.
Over the course of one and a half months, I came in to have all my fillings performed. Throughout that period, I had constant discomfort when eating, new food traps leading to severe gingivitis, rough and sharp surfaces on my fillings, and trouble flossing around my fillings. My floss was shredding and getting stuck. Dr. Adegun was very polite and sweet each time I came back to state I still wasnāt feeling normal. They repeated x-rays, adjusted my bite, and made some other recommendations, but nothing really worked or gave me relief. After the 3rd recheck, they couldnāt find anything wrong, so I assumed this was, unfortunately, my new normal.
6 months later, I came back in for my next routine cleaning and brought up how I was still having issues with my fillings. They still felt rough and sharp in places. I still had food traps that I didnāt have before. I was still having trouble flossing and was now relying mostly on water flossing. It still felt off to eat on the right side of my mouth. Hygienist didnāt note anything when cleaning, and Dr. Adegun didnāt note anything either. I, again, just accepted this was my new normal.
3 days ago, one of my fillings fell out (only 1 year later) while I was eating a cucumber. It was one of my more problematic fillings that felt rough and sharp and loved to collect food, and it actually felt better now that it was out. I was also due for my routine 6-month cleaning, so I decided to go to another dentist to have that performed and get a second opinion on my fillings. Unfortunately, over half of my fillings need to be completely redone due to how completely misshapen they are and how rough/sharp they are. The food traps they created for the last year also created some gingival pockets. The other fillings need some reshaping too, but without complete refilling. Apparently it looks like one of my natural teeth was nicked with a drill at some point and needs to be reshapen now as well. The treatment cost for this work is equivalent to how much I spent at League City Elite Dentistry to have my initial fillings done, so Iām a bit upset at having to spend that all over again since not everything is covered by insurance.
Overall, this office was clean, and the staff and Dr. Adegun were all very sweet, but the quality of care did not meet my standards and left me worse off than I was before, and Iām now having to spend over $1000 to have the work they did corrected.
I referred a colleague here as well, and she has had problems with her fillings too. I feel guilt at having caused her the trouble with my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust WOW. I have had this appointment for weeks. It was made with the understanding that it would be a once only. I was told absolutely no problem as all I needed was a small filling done in my front tooth. My appointment was at 1 PM, I arrived at 12:35 PM because I knew that I did not complete my paperwork and it would need to be done. Instead, I was taken back to the dental chair, x-rayed, and pictured, etc. only to be told that the dentist could not come in until my paperwork was done; I had already notified the technician that my paperwork had not been done and that the lady in the front did not give it to me to complete and I was told āno problem everything will be fineā. I also knew that I had a second insurance policy that had to be verified, which is why I came in early. So I had to wait and complete my paperwork in the dental chair, at 1:20 PM BEFORE THE DENTIST WOULD EVEN COME INTO THE ROOM. After completion, the dentist came in looked at my tooth. Told me someone would be in a minute to speak to me and left the room. About 15 minutes later, the girl from the front desk comes in and tells me hey great news, todayās visit is zero dollars!!! Then proceeds to tell me the only problem we have is that the dentist wonāt be able to do you today because she has somebody scheduled that sheās working on right now and itās going to take her a while and some other nonsense about having to meet her husband or some crap. I literally took off from an hourly job and lost money to come to this place, a place that I was promised would take care of this issue in one visit. What a joke. Yet they want to send you text messages about how they will bill you $75 for missing your appointment?? Perhaps I need to send them a bill for the hourly wage that I missed for my non-appointment! They can respond, however they want to this, and spin it whichever way they want to, but they screwed up. What I have said is exactly what happened. There are not 2 sides to this story.
UPDATE: This dentist had the nerve to post that my pre-scheduled for weeks in advance appointment was āan emergency visitā. Further proof that they are liars.
Per their response, ā I appreciate your feedback. For clarification, emergency exams are for evaluation and treatment planning only. If time permits, we do our best to complete treatment on the same day, but this is not always possible based on the doctor's pre-existing schedule. To ensure a smooth and efficient appointment, we request that all insurance information be provided at the time of scheduling and that all paperwork is completed in advance. This helps us verify coverage and minimize delays during your visit. We wish you good fortune in finding your next dental home.ā
So, for clarification, I came 25 minutes early to complete paperwork which the receptionist knew and I notified the technician it needed to finished, to which she replied it was ok to go back without it.
When you make a mistake, own it! Stop trying to sugar coat it and act like I made the mistake. What a liar you are....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI began seeing Dr. Farnaghi as my primary dentist in 2016. I have had multiple procedures done by him. Heās a very experienced and knowledgeable dentist. After seeing him I expressed my concern for braces as my teeth were overcrowding due to my wisdom teeth. He recommended that I see the Orthodontist at his practice. Thatās when things went from good to horrible.
I started Invisalign treatment February of 2019. The total balance was just over $4,000 for the treatment so it broke down to just under 2 years of payments and There would be a total of 40 trays in my treatment plan. Immediately I had problems with my very first Invisalign tray not fitting onto my teeth. It was brushed off and I was told to bite onto a āspit suckerā and sent home with one to bite on, in hopes to make my tray fit on my teeth. The orthodontist is only there on Thursdayās at 2 p.m. so when I continuously had problems he was overbooked most Thursdays causing me to be very behind in my trays. This went on for months and months.
Finally January 2020 the orthodontist admits that something is wrong with my trays... 11 months after I began my treatment and Iām still on tray number 9. Thatās how hard it was for me to book my appointments with this orthodontist. So naturally Iām upset because I had been saying this the entire time. I was up to date on my payments and had to completely restart on tray 1 a year later. No explanation was given, no new contract, no talk of refund. It was the most awkward and flat out rude service I have ever received to just assume that I was fine with it. So I decided to start the trays again... whatās the worst that could happen?
Well I get the call that my new trays are ready. I go back in March 2020 to get them fitted and put in. They finally fit perfect for the first time in 13 months. So here I am thinking okay, the orthodontist messed up, Iām ahead on payments, itās fine. I go back 6 weeks later to get my next set of trays. I decide not to pay since Iām ahead. Well the next time I try to book an appointment the office manager tells me that I owe $1200 and cannot be seen until this balance is paid. Then to top it off she tells me that the remaining balance is $2000 something dollars. Now please tell me how thatās possible when I have receipts showing the remaining balance after I paid each time and the previous balance owed in full was $1800 last time I checked. Obviously I was upset and I decided to stop services here immediately. I wrote to Invisalign to complain about the service I received here. They apologized for the orthodontist and said I can resume my treatment at any Invisalign certified orthodontist of my choice but unfortunately cannot refund my money since Elite Dentistry is a private office.
Doing my research itās pretty wild to me that this orthodontist isnāt even named on the website. Do not go to the orthodontist here. You will...
