There are better, more honest service providers out there. I recommend you don't settle for what passes for business as usual with these guys. I've used them twice and left feeling like I was taken advantage of both times. They may/may not do a quality job. I don't think I've actually had a problem with the work they've done for me. Both times, though, they misrepresented what was going to happen resulting in me overpaying. The first time was getting my jeep lined. I was shown standard prices but then told that they may not apply as I was doing a Jeep instead of a truck bed. No problem. I brought the Jeep there for inspection and given guidance on what I should expect. When I came back to pick it up, I was brought into the GMs office to settle up. I knew immediately these guys were aggressive as the big white board on his wall had a big grid on it titled 'Show Me the Money' with a list of all of their employees and tracking their sales success. Again, no problem necessarily. I don't have a problem with sales or commissions...unless it leads to shady, oversold products and services. Once I sat down, he started explaining to me why my Jeep was different than they initial quoted and how it was going to cost more. I wound up spending several hundreds more for that lining AND told that they wouldn't affix the Line-X sticker on it for warranty coverage. It's not a truck bed, you know. ;-) I didn't love the experience but was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I decided to take things as they explained. Fast forward and I needed to do my first service (50 hr) on my Cub Cadet zero turn mower. It turns out these guys are a certified sales/service shop for Cub Cadet so I thought I'd give them another shot. I just needed fluids changed and blades sharpened. I was quoted $200. I brought the unit to the shop. When I came back a week and a half later I was charged more than double ($425). The reason, they said, is that my carb had build up and needed cleaning. They also said that one of my blades was bent so they went ahead and replaced all three. Keep in mind that this is a newish mower on its first servicing. There is no way my carb needed that cleaning. I was also never contacted about these problems or added services. They just did it and expected me to pay. Even IF one of the blades was bent, why replace all three? When I asked why they didn't call for approval, they indicated that the paperwork I signed when dropping it off gave them the authority to go ahead and make whatever repairs they felt were needed. Dirty. I don't really believe what they said but if true, it is still a super shady way of doing business. Again, there is plenty of money to be made honestly in the sales, servicing, and repairs business. It's people and policies like these that screw things up for everyone else. There just is no good reason to rip people off. For myself, I will not give these guys a third chance. Again, I recommend that you...
Read moreDo not use this place! Total bait and switch. I purchased 7k in accessories and was extremely thorough with the counter person. He tried to sell me a back flip. I told him my last truck had a back flip and it was not durable enough for my occupation. We decided on a stealth with bed side rails so I could later add a ladder rack to the rail system. When I picked up the truck after they had it an extra day. I was surprised to see a back flip installed. My front grill guard was not supposed to have collisionsensor issue because I told them I didn't want ro by a grill guard that would have this issue. The counter salesman said that if it did , they could relocate the sensors. Well when I picked up my truck. I was told that the sensor alarm was sounding and they couldn't do anything about it. Next item was the tail gate extension that they sold me. I was told by the salesman that the 2 inner support bars could easily be adjusted to support the sheet metal flashing I haul at times. Well , you can't move the 2 inner supports without compromising the entire bed extender. The inner supports locks the 2 piece bed extender together . Lastly , I purchased a light bar and the salesman helped me determine a great location for the switch. Well the switch was put in an absolutely horrible location way up underneath the steering wheel. I tried to relocate the switch myself. The tech cut the wiring so that it's 2 inches shy of making it to the agreed location and cannot be installed. So I have it just hanging beside my steering wheel. They only did 2 things correct . Sprayed a bed liner and installed my air bags . Everything else. Grill guard , light bar, bed extender and tonuea cover is not what I purchased per the counter salesman. The manager offered me 30 percent off a new tonuea cover because I didn't return for over 30 days. They sent me home with the absolute wrong cover hoping I would accept it. I told them as I left , that I did.t purchase it. And that it was there cover. Why send me home with it. Only because they were hoping I would accept it and not come back . No one even told me how long I had to come back . No phone call no contact on any time.limit. I tried to handle the return before day 35. And was offended by them not accepting responsibility. The manager reading the counter salesman notes was a joke. If the salesman couldn't convey the scope of work and brand of items purchased to the installer, how was he going to notate anything that that would reflect much more in my favor. I own a business and if someone from my company mis represents the company. I make it right....
Read moreStay as far away from this place as possible. These guys will promise you the world but when it comes to actually doing the work they cut corners, don’t prep anything correctly, then won’t warranty their work after they clearly explain if you have any issues they will be addressed. Instead of stripping their defective liner the correct way and re applying, they chose to just simply spray over the affected areas… This was done twice before having to get upper management involved to do the job correctly. Also ordered a fuel tank and had it shipped directly to their shop per their manager so it could be sprayed. I asked them to notify me once the tank arrived so I could inspect it before install. They say sure no problem. Tank arrive, they shot it and installed it without calling me, only to find a big dent in the top of the tank. Then they proceeded to damage the fuel gauge on the tank and would not replace it. After spending well over $3k on liner with these guys I think I’ll be finding a different shop next time. Heck I prob could have bought the liner material at Home Depot and done it myself and done a better job. Thanks for nothing Line X
In response to your response… please provide proof of email to try to notify me of fuel tank issues and proof of you offering to replace the fuel guage. The supplier never offered me a discount on anything nor did Line X. Both parties denied any responsibility which is part of my frustration. As far as the body shop and that work… it was all shown to Jason before the work was to be preformed and he explained the process that would take place to restore the truck to original condition. Once Line X received the truck the work was delayed then rushed to get it out of the door. I like how Line X is trying to out this all on the customer and I hope future customers see this as a warning to not do business here. Again… please provide proof for the claims you are making of discounts were offered and emails sent informing myself if these issues. I have never even received an email from line x about anything…. I will continue to destroy your business with reviews if you continue to lie and put this on me the paying customer.
Also if you are and always have been willing to replace the fuel gauge let me know when to be there so you can fix it Makes absolutely no sense if you were willing to replace it initially why I would not of had you replace it…that’s why I contacted you back after the install to try to get you to replace it just for you to blame it on the shipper….. I look forward to seeing you soon for the fuel...
