Kai Sushi — Restaurant in Leander

I called to place a pick up order and this was my first experience here and let me tell you I was impressed first and foremost by the wait staff and the chefs behind the sushi counter. They greeted when you walked in and wished you well when you left! The establishment I must say was quite small and not a lot of tables so I'm curious to see how it looks when it's busy because due to all this rain there was plenty of seating. Ok now to the food I ordered the chicken pot stickers, Super Godzilla roll and the Shaggy dog roll, all were AMAZING and very flavorful. You could tell it was fresh and that my friends makes all the difference in the world especially when it comes to shusi! Had really good flavor all around and will definitely be going back to dine in and enjoy the full experience. If your looking for a really good sushi establishment then I say look no further and give this place a try I'm glad I did and they will now how a frequent customer! Howdy, I'm giving a 5 star but am here to talk about customer service.... Not food. Judy the owner was super cheerful and bright, but said they are not doing dine in cause nobody wants to work. She then offered me the suggestion of 2 of her favorite place to eat when she goes out being takara & umiya. I told her about the special occasion and she smiled and I could tell was happy to make sure I was being take care of regardless of if she was getting my business. That means so much on such a primitive level... If she's willing to provide such good service and suggestions while busy for another competitor based on the customers needs.... I cannot wait to see how she treats the ppl who she serves! I will without a doubt Def give this place a go when I'm in town for a "to-go" occasion or when they want to open up for dine in.

We visited this place for the first time. The food was good but the service was terrible! There were 2 waitresses. One was okay but the shorter waitress who was supposed to be taking care of our table was rude! She didn't bring any silverware or plates. I took the silverware from the table across and went to get the plates from the counter myself so we could eat. None of the waitresses checked if we need anything else while dining. There was no sauce for our tempura so we had to call our sever. She looked annoyed & inconvenienced but brought the sauce. I asked to order additional sushi plate & it was served without wasabi so, we had to get her attention and again, she responded annoyed "yes?". We really felt like we inconvenienced her everytime! Even when she brought our check, she rudely said; "do you need anything else?". So sad, that a place like this with great food is ruined by bad service! I don't think...
