I love Aldi for the prices! The prices are amazing. The service, not so much. The last few times I have been in there the cashiers gave me a hard time. First about keeping my children in the same cart and bringing a cart over from an unused register until I could pack my bags. I've done this multiple times before and nobody ever told me I couldn't, and when this woman told me she was so rude. The next issue I had at checkout was when I DID move my children into the new cart at the end of the aisle and the cashier preceded to tell me she preferred not to arrange around the children. And when I told her it was no big deal and I arranged the stuff in the cart she said she would do it at the end because she needs to go fast. I told her she didn't need to rush and she then says, "well I'm timed, 1 sec per item" ummm wait what? When did grocery shopping become so rushed. I don't even finish paying and getting out of line before the next person is being rung up. I also went shopping to get some fresh fruits and veggies and a ton of produce was rotten the other day and flies were all over the potatoes. The stentch was awful.I wondered when was the last time someone checked on it? I seriously would five star this place if employees did their job and...
Read moreThis Aldi location is a bit out of the way in terms of other retail in Lebanon, but it is worth the diversion. While not spotless (what Grocery store is that has decent turnover?), the store is kept neat and tidy. The staff are extremely pleasant, and though, as the brand insists, they work as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible, they always have time to answer questions, share a few words of polite banter, or merely smile as they pass you in the aisle. Also, product locations and even changes in product locations are handled well and the store is easy to navigate. The only caveat, as I opened the review with is that it is not the most accesible by car. You'll occassionally have difficulty approaching the store as a turn from 422 is required which, depending on traffic, can be a bit dicey. An alternate is to approach the store by turning on to 8th Ave, going to Lehman street and then turning right on 11th Ave and bypassing...
Read morePrices went up, cashier was RUDE because I bought only food and used SNAP because I'm disabled and raising my 3 grandkids. She made all kinds of comments about my purchases. First it was the seafood I bought and what I was being charged for didnt have anything to do with tje price of that. Then they said it was the pizza my grand daughter picked for dinner. It was a $4.98 pizza saying it must be a premium pizza. Well the cashier took it off and the register was STILL demanding $4.98 cash which I DIDN'T have. I told them to cancel the entire order and I would just go somewhere else because I bought NO non food item. Im tired of people being shamed for having to use SNAP benefits. Yeah I got seafood because my diet requires seafood 2 to 3 times a week because I had to cut out red meats. So I will shop...
