Don't buy refurbished LG from anywhere or anything refurbished from Walmart-it's junk! With comically awful customer service when you try to address the pile of broken and missing junk that they sold you as 'refurbished'.
Purchased an LG AC 'refurbished' from Walmart. I picked it up from the store, got it home, it is missing parts and has broken parts. I called to try to get the broken parts replaced and possibly an extended warranty given the state it is in. After 2hrs on phone, 1hr (mostly on hold) with Jose from customer 'service' then transferred to Sis from 'customer resolutions', and a useless mid CS call call out to LG ultimately the 'best' they would do for me was to 'allow' a return. 2 Hrs on the phone- complete waste of time- thanks Walmart and LG!
Part of the two hour call that included Walmart rep Sis and LG rep Steve. Included Steve asking for the broken parts specifics, my info etc (slowly enters is ala Mr. Bean style). Slow, but ok at least he's helping (this is around 1.5hrs into this nightmare call)...He says that they would be happy to send out the replacement parts and that they are in stock. Hooray! Until... around 10min later he asks for the model and serial number, I give it to him. He then insists that I am wrong, that the S/N is wrong. He then realizes it is refurbished (apparently Sis left that part out) and tells me they won't send the parts out, that it is the resellers responsibility for refurbished units. I tell him that we have the reseller on the phone and they are telling me it is LG's responsibility. He says he is following the rules. I point out that I have spent thousands on LG products in past and am likely to need to make future purchases, do they really want to loose a registered former and likely future customer over what must be less than 20$ in actual parts costs? He says he needs to follow the rules and can't understand why I don't understand this, he then hangs up. Loosing me as a customer. Then Sis tells me the 'best' she can do is process a return. The same one processed by Jose 1.5 hrs ago then unprocessed by Sis 30 min ago all the while acting as though she is doing me some great favor.
This required another 10' on hold, and then Sis tells me that in 3 to 5 days a carrier will call me to schedule the return for some undefined time in future. So I have a pile of junk in my dining room for a week - forever? and I won't get my refund until after the pick up.
So my 2 hours with Walmart customer whatever mostly on hold, AND the hour or so for the terrible awful pick up yielded at the least several weeks with a giant piece of LG branded junk in my house and apparently my lending Walmart several hundred dollars indefinitely? Never again.
Meanwhile theres a heat wave and I still have no AC. Never have I ever had such awful service for a refurbished product before. Additionally, LG was a brand I used to like and had even recommended to others until this. Apart from the terrible service and refusal to stand by their brand, the LG AC parts seem pretty shoddy and is probably why it was returned by the last people.
Also, the Walmart 'curbside' pick up was a debacle: long story short(er) you have to go through the entire store all the way to the back of the store wading through a line then masses of people refusing to wear masks or socially distance. I get to the counter and it takes the kid ~15' to show up. He complains about having to wear a mask, then he disappears for another 15', comes back and says he'll bring the product 'out front'. Its roughly the size of a football field 'out front'. He then watches as some other dude tries to get the AC into my car then I go and help 'dude' while 'kid' watches lazily.
I'd have given zero stars...
Read moreHonestly, this is the worst Walmart ever. Customer service sucks. The store is always crammed and employees are always more worried about drama than their job. The amount of cash registers vrs how many are open is ridiculous! We waited in line last night with 6 items for 28 minutes because the self check out was shut down by 8. The woman who checked us out, was very rude to my husband when he made a comment of "you guys need more cash registers open at night this is kinda ridiculous" she responded with " you're hired " and when he said "huh?" She said back to him rudely " if you're going to complain then you're hired so you can run a register and not complain" he was taken back.. and felt insulted. Today I went to get a money order, I stood at the service desk for 25 minutes and the second woman they sent to help Fred, who may I add is always pleasant and does a great job, this woman had no clue how to do anything but returns?? Why aren't your employees trained?? And why couldn't the ast. Manager who was up there as well, walk her through what she needed to do?? The line was outrageous! Carts of overstock are constantly left in isles, employees will stand in the way of what you need and not care to move even when addressed with an "excuse me, could I please get one of those" when you ask where something is or if they carry something it's always "I don't know" or "over that way" the carts are all junk.. totally unsafe for kids because the buckles are all broken. Overall, I personally make the drive to woodsvill or Claremont if possible because this Walmart is horrible! Definitely need to step your game up,...
Read moreThis store is a mess. Rude team members constantly complaining about their work load and/or mentioning how many more hours they have to be there, making customers move out of the way so they can drag their pallets into the isles, and not showing any interest in helping customers. Having four team members stand around watching everyone, while the line is backed up to the greeting cards is ridiculous.
I once visited the store looking for a cable of which there were apparently eight of in the store. They weren't where they were supposed to be and the female electronics LEAD said "Oh, I don't what to tell ya." refused to help me look for them or even check if they were in stock.
Today I didn't appreciate being yelled at by the blue-haired goblin running the self-check out either. I simply asked if the service desk was open as I had a return and got blasted with a loud, condescending answer. The customers in front of me also felt the same way.
Sorry the company YOU CHOSE to work for is under-staffing and overworking you. That is NOT the customers fault. Without us you...
