As Seen on TV — Local services in Ledyard

A few days ago my husband, 2 year old son, and I went into this store. Just looking for some last minute Christmas gifts. Of course our son noticed the toys, and picked up 2 toy cars. He wasn’t throwing them, wasn’t chewing on them, just holding them, and staring in awe. The man behind the register began following us around the store, continuously asking us if our son was going to get them and tried taking them away from him. We decided to only get 1 of the toys, and checked out the other gifts at the register. Right at the end of the checkout he pointed at our son, and then tapped his tip jar. I couldn’t understand his accent and felt pressured at the moment, so we put $2 in. You tip for customer service, his service was awful. Constantly following around customers in the store, so inappropriate. And so many reviews before my own seem to say all the same things. I’ve also never been to a regular store that isn’t a grocery store or restaurant that has a tip jar. The guy clearly doesn’t tolerate kids, and makes you feel bad by asking for a tip. The guy needs to be removed. The mall needs to do better, and see the continuous reviews on this guy. HE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED...

DO NOT SHOP HERE! The management here is absolutely terrible. Very rude. I picked something off-the-shelf to look at it and see what it was and the box looked open so I opened to see if the product was actually in there and this guy came out of nowhere started yelling at me. "Why you open the box don't open the box". I tried to explain to him that I was simply just checking the box to see if everything was in there and he continues to yell at me "I have signs says do not try" Again I tried to explain I wasn't trying anything. I was making sure everything was in the box including the instructions. Didn't matter so I walked out and will never shop there. I recommend you avoid giving them any business at all. My total purchase was $37.82. The manger told me my bill was $39 I handed him $100 bill and he handed me back $61's. I asked for the receipt and he gave me a hard time when I got the receipt it totaled up to $37.82 so I asked him for the correct change that was do back to me. Then again he gave me a hard time about giving me my money. The manager had to go into his tip jar to give me the correct change. Yes tip jar!!! I am calling the BBB on this store.
