Never open during specified hours, does not answer phone calls, intrudes on customers conversations, racist comments, shipping unreliable, packages wrong materials after payment has been made.
Extremely cute and fun idea but unfortunately was very poorly executed. I’ve come to this business twice now, the first time a girlfriend and I came and all was well until the end of our visit when the owner started making off handed comments about indigenous people. (This business is on a preservation btw!!!!) although clearly upset but thinking perhaps it was a misunderstanding or something I hesitantly returned several months later with my boyfriend. After checking hours online we arrived on Thursday at 1pm and found a note on the door saying they wouldn’t open until 3pm, we waited around and did some shopping in the mean time. however once the doors did open it wasn’t long into our session before the same owner (lady named chris) started making more racist comments, this time about Asian Americans. A security guard came in and the two women continued the upsetting conversation. Both my partner and I were visibly upset and uncomfortable with the situation and my partner even wanted to leave right then. Against my better judgement I suggested we just sit quiet and quickly finish our projects however the owner would not stop trying to talk with us even after making us so visibly upset (it was extremely awkward but I’ve seen her do this with customers before). At the end of the session we payed 100+$ for the experience and were told we could pick up anytime Saturday or after. On Sunday we arrived in the middle of the day and once again they were closed with all the lights and computer on but no note and the doors were locked. After several unanswered calls and waiting for over an hour we just left (having made the 40 minute drive for no reason). The next day on Sunday when I called to double check they’d be open I was given extreme attitude as “the website clearly states we are open 7 days a week”. After making the drive for the second time we arrived and the owner was clearly annoyed when we did not engage in small talk. I reminded her that I had requested a specific “glitter coat” to take home as it was an option they had on display. Seeming slightly frustrated I had asked again she ended up giving me the wrong one. It should also be noted that during our session another couple came in to pick up and they too were visibly annoyed as they had payed extra for shipping and it never arrived. With not many family based activities in the area this would have been absolutely perfect, but again, both times inappropriate comments were made and I would NEVER allow a child to hear that kind of talk. Normally I would just never return (I’m not the type to leave bad reviews, ESPECIALLY on a small business) but this was truly upsetting and I would never recommend this place to anyone. (Which is a shame cause many people have complemented the projects I’ve done there but every time I tell them the same thing as I wrote here and everyone is always disgusted.) I can’t help but imagine how well this business would do if she could keep her private views out of her workplace. I hope the owners genuinely take this into consideration and realize that the way they speak (intentional or not) is wildly offensive and...
Read moreOh, what a delightful place this is—positively brimming with charm and creativity at every turn! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by shelves of blank ceramic treasures, each one just waiting to be brought to life with a little imagination (and perhaps a touch of artistic daring!). The process is simply enchanting—you choose your piece, each priced differently, and then you’re set up with a splendid array of paints, brushes, and even stencils, should you find yourself in need of a guiding hand. And if ever inspiration falters, there are finished pieces on display to spark new ideas, like a gallery of possibilities!
But oh, the most wonderful part—there is a most glorious arrangement with the pretzel shop nearby, so one may paint and snack in perfect harmony! Is there anything more delightful than sipping a drink, nibbling on a warm, buttery pretzel, and creating something beautiful all at once? I rather think not.
And the owners—well, they are simply kindred spirits! So warm, welcoming, and endlessly patient, especially with children, who are made to feel just as important as the most practiced artist. It’s the sort of place where you instantly feel at home, where creativity is encouraged, and where even the most timid of painters might find themselves swept up in the sheer joy of it all.
And the best part? Many pieces are ready the very next day, as if by some wonderful bit of kiln-fired magic! If ever you are in need of a place to dream, to create, and to let your imagination run free, Ready Glaze Fire is an...
Read moreReally poor customer service when it comes to having ceramics being mailed home.
I was there on August 12th and the women had originally told me I could pick up my ceramics the next day in the afternoon since they fire the glaze “next day”. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to because of my travel plans so opted to have it shipped.
After about a month I finally called the store to ask for a Tracking number to see where my order was, they didn’t even ship it yet! I was told it’d be out in the mail that following Monday. I also tried messaging them twice on instagram, which they read my messages(it shows that they did also they requested to follow me) asking them for a tracking number and they didn’t respond. I FINALLY received my ceramics today, Sept. 16th.
Prior to even painting the ceramics I knew they would be an issue as not only did they not open on time, but while I was there the owner received multiple phone calls from customers asking about their orders. AND a women came in angry that her son had tried to pick up his stuff one day but they had apparently closed early to which the owner denied those claims.
So if you want your ceramics in a timely manner I’d suggest picking them up in person or expect to wait a month to receive them. I should have disputed the charge on my cc but didn’t want to risk them not shipping out my order as my daughter was so anxious to...
