We visited the Gspa while we stayed in Fox tower. I booked a massage for my husband's birthday. While most of our experience was absolutely wonderful the spa fell a little short . It was beautiful however in the gym there are huge metal storage bins between machines. Not attractive they look very industrial and arent placed in a corner or to the side some where but scattered through out in an unpleasant way. I had called ahead to book the massage and the person I spoke to was less than helpful and sounded less than enthusiastic to even have to be speaking to me ,let alone try to help me book services for us. It was just a very forced polite passive aggressive conversation. So much so that I even recognized who she was when we came in. It honestly was the easiest place to book because we were staying in the tower. I'm glad we did stop in because the service option I was looking for was actually available during our stat and if she had cared to actually extend herself a bit to check all options it would have been booked over the phone. I'm glad we did walk in and ask more questions I got my husband a service but decided not to book anything for myself because I had already been put off by the way the experience was going. I did look around the retail area to do some shopping. I was really disappointed to see there was a ton of Goldwell products there. Not only are these very dated but you can buy them in stop and shop, walmart or CVS. Working in the same type of industry and KNOWING there are many more options available that are or should be on par to what a spa like this should want to represent them selves with is questionable to me. So no shopping or services for me this round. My husband had a great massage it was clean and inviting. The therapist was excellent and we appreciate that so much . Her work was definitely lined up with what you would want for a spa, thank you!!! We are definitely spa junkies, so for us was an interesting visit. .....Wasnt quiet sure on how to respond to the message that was left. Purely a technical issue on my behalf. Thank you so much for the correspondence. I will absolutely do that . I appreciate the attention...
Read moreHonest Review under my pen name for anonymity** I arrived in the early am to have a spa day and manicure/pedicure at the end in the afternoon. Needless to say I was disheartened to see that the quality of the spa overall has declined..I was there all day and not once did I witness the whirlpool checked for bacteria levels..there were strange black spots near the women’s whirlpool that looked gross and I just threw away my spa flip flops I bought for the day there because were filthy after wearing them here for the first time as I bought them the day before…the spa provided flip flops are placed at the top of the lockers with the robes and I noticed my robe had a stain on it…it just is not sanitized to the level it should be. Jamie, the nail tech who was assigned to do my manicure/pedicure did not acknowledge me at the time of my appointment and instead was attending to another patron. I felt unwelcome and after waiting 14 minutes, I had no choice but to report her to her manager, I have faith I shall find another place to receive the treatment I’m willing to pay top dollar for, as I am a successful career woman and expect nothing less than the best particularly at a spa…GSpa..please do...
Read moreWonderful experience. Signed up for a 50 minute massage, arrived at 10am and used the facilities on the gender separated side: sauna, steam room, hot tub, showers, lounge room. Had a massage by Vincent and, although I usually just lay there, instead I chatted the whole time with him because he was just so entertaining and personable. I told him how my back was killing me from sitting all day as I was here just for temp work, and he focused on that area. At the end of my session, my back felt so much better and nearly a week after, it still feels good.
After my massage, I relaxed there a bit more then left for lunch at Hell's Kitchen. Although the price seems high for the massage, it includes all the amenities, even the gym, and includes full day use. So after lunch, I returned and used the co-ed area which includes the pool, whirlpool tub, loungers, and outdoor lounges. As it was a warm, sunny day, I spent time outside then went inside to cool down. I spent more time in the gender separated area, cooled down, then left around 5pm. It was a really relaxing day, and I appreciated that it is 21 and over so it could...
