Pros-The size of the store because I don't like having to walk through Walmart just to find a few items, the location is great, variety, and prices. And during my most recent visit I was asked four times by the same associate if I needed anything, before that on previous visits I am hardly talk to.
Cons- during my most recent visit, I was also asked four times by the same associate if I was all set to check out, which was kind of annoying and I felt rushed. However the biggest thing is that they were doing a reset and they had boxes and items all over the place which made their already small aisles even smaller. they are practicing social distancing right now by having huge white tables between the customer and the cash register. I think it would be more feasible to have the tap es on the floor for people to stand at because using those huge white tables also decreases the size of the store making it tighter for people to be able to walk through and stay 6 ft apart, it actually makes it impossible. When I went to check out an associate with long blonde gray hair and an attitude didn't hear me when I asked for a certain item, so she very loudly and annoyedly said what? Then she asked for my ID which I have no problem with however I handed it to her using my gloved hands, hoping that she could just look at it but she instead grabbed it out of my hand. That defeats all of their big white tables and social dancing. She also seemed very put out when an item I was looking for was behind a bunch of boxes and items that were out to be used for the restock, so she moved the boxes kind of aggressively after I offered to stay where I was and just look from there. Overall I never have a great experience at Dollar general in Lee. but today's experience definitely was worse than most. I would suggest taking away those tables and using tape marks on the ground for social distancing and maybe not taking out so much product at a time when it comes to doing a reset. That way you can implement social distancing in an effective manner. I am very grateful for the employees of the stores that remain open, I'm also an essential employee and I work in customer service but that does not give the woman a reason to treat customers as if they are a burden to her. I don't think I will be going back to that Dollar general for a long time, if ever. I will just go up the road from my house to family Dollar.
Side note- this review was given using speech-to-text so if anything comes out a little funny, I apologize. And I also apologize...
Read moreI have been shopping here since they opened, it’s the closest store to my home. Don and Dee (I think is her name) and the gentleman with the long hair are great! Everybody else ignores customers. The newer female assistant manager is always annoyed, she acts like i’m bothering her when I want to check out. I always have to wait for her to appear, she spends more time in the back. But honestly worst then waiting, is her attitude. I went last night around 6pm, they were closed. A sloppy handwritten note was taped to the front door, reopen tomorrow at 8:30. The lights were on and 2 other cars were in the parking lot. The customer service is getting awful, the few friendly employees they have are hardly...
Read moreMost of the employees are not very friendly. There is one wonderful young lady who works there. That is it. Not a single employee wears a mask. That is the only store in Lee, or actually anywhere, where they do not where masks. That is disgusting. The manager is always coughing. They have a sign saying they recommend for customers to wear masks, but not a single one is them wears a mask. The store is so small, if one of them were sick, they would pass it to everyone who visits that store. I am respectful enough to wear a mask when I go in their store, but not a single employee is respectful enough to wear one. What a shame. I can not go to this...
