Market Basket — Local services in Lee

I love this store except lately it seems the persons bagging is always competing to see how many items they can cram into one bag. Other than that it is my go to place. They always have what I need and if they don't they try to get it in for me. The vast majority of staff are very pleasant to interact with.

After being away for 3/4 of the year, i truly enjoyed shopping here again. No place we have been has had produce as fresh as here.

August, 2022 Just needed a few items. Ran in and the stench is unreal! Smells like rotten fish or something died in there. Sadly until that is addressed, i wont be feeding anyone anything from there. Hannaford is right up the street so i will spend a bit more to ensure my family is safe.

Sad since I have been a loyal patron for over 20 yrs

Tried again. Boy am I a slow learner!

Not even freshly rotted produce this time. Some had been sitting there far too long. I went to pick up a bag of celery lets just say they are fortunate not to be covered in vomit.

If you need fresh vegetables I do NOT recommend MB any longer.

I have gone to lee several times for grocery/ coupon shopping and for the most part had helpful and kind associates, The meat department and seafood, were both helpful and understanding when making special requests

So I went to Lee, NH market basket today, got about $100 worth of groceries and proceeded to the check out, I had many coupons (beer coupons) that I have used everytime that I have gone there, they have accepted them everytime, I even had one of the red coat store managers check them over a previous time and they approved everything, That is why I had continued to go there. Today however, I had a nasty front end (blue coat associate) deny every coupon without even looking at them. She made a scene and REFUSED to let me ask the manager about it, I put everything back!! They made me uncomfortable and I will never be going back there... Couponers beware, unfriendly and unhelpful upfront associates! I went to shaws and Dover and they accepted everything with a smile, will shop there...

Poorly managed, evening staff is slow lack any enthusiasm. Morning check out staff are old pros. They are pleasant and compatent. Fast scanning and fast careful bagging. They suffer clueless managers that spend most of the day chatting with venders. This has set a bad example for stockers who also stand around talking while product sits on pallets in the middle of aisles and shelves half empty. The produce aisle is good when it's stocked but that rarely happens before mid afternoon. Last be carefully of the meat department. I understand putting the best side up but if you're not careful you'll get some very nasty surprises. The butcher here just doesn't get the return customer value in honesty and integrity. I live in Lee just 3 miles from this store but after many bad experiences I find it better to drive a few miles more to the Epping store that has a whole different culture.
