Today I had the worse experience I have every had at Walgreens and was treated worse than I have ever been treated. My husband and I have Medicaid and my husband is on a medication that is not covered by Medicaid. For years now we have been getting his medicine filled every month and using a pharmacy discount card and paying cash for the rest. Today I took his prescription to the pharmacy they then told me that it is against the law for Medicaid patients to use a discount card. I asked them since when because we have been using a discount card for this medication for years now. The pharmacy tech then got angry and started raising his voice at me and told me it has always been that way and itās not his fault itās the law. Then the pharmacist comes over and asks what the problem is. I explain to him that we have been using a discount card to pay for part of my husbands medication every month for years and now Iām being told that is not allowed. He says well itās the law Medicaid patients are not allowed to use a discount card. I told him this was not ok and I wanted to speak to a store manager. 2 store managers come over a female and a male. The male practically gets in my face and starts yelling at me that if his pharmacist says thatās the law then thatās the law. Then he throws the prescription at me and tells me āwe are not breaking the law for you, take your prescription somewhere else and get out of my store.ā I leave and call both Medicaid and Select Health and both of them told me that there is no law against a Medicaid patient using a discount card for a prescription they donāt cover. The guys at Select Health exact words were āit would be completely ridiculous for us to not allow a low income family to us a discount card on a medication we donāt cover.ā I then took the prescription to a different pharmacy and was able to get it filled with a discount card (and yes I informed them my husband is on Medicaid and gave them his Medicaid card). I would like to also add here that we have used that same Walgreens for 10 years. I go there at least 3 times a month to pick up prescriptions and in all my years going there I have never seen that pharmacist or pharmacy tech there. Walgreen has lost a loyal customer forever I will never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is ridiculous. I have dreaded any trip that I have had to make to this place. But I am finally writing a review because of the two (that turned into 3 ) trips Iāve made here this week. First off I had to fill an antibiotic prescription for my 5 year old. After a VERY long wait, they filled the prescription under someone else!!! They had to undo and re do the whole thing! A one time mistake is okay and the staff at the pharmacy was apologetic about it. But I have to fill my grandmas RXs here every month and I wait EVERYTIME! sitting there with 2 sick kids for that long is just not okay. Seems that the pharmacy may be understaffed. So two days after filling my sons prescription I had to go fill my grandmotherās. I knew that it would be a long wait (as always) so I planned to get my babyās passport photo done while I waited. The store front and photo staff is nice enough but not outgoing or overly willing to assist. She took the photo, placed the order THEN tells me that their equipment is broken and it will be at least an hour wait for that . Again, understandable but not the first time. I went back this evening and this was the final straw. I stood there.... there were 3 employees behind the photo counter, one of them preoccupied with her receipt paper. I stood there for a good 5 minutes before even being acknowledged! Eventually they offered to help then couldnāt find my photo!!! We eventually found it under the wrong name!!! It was my maiden name and I have been married for 11 years. I was considering switching my familyās prescriptions here because they have a drive through. But now I will only be going here for my grandmas prescriptions and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been a faithful Walgreen's customer to our Lehi store since it has opened but I am going to have to find another store that actually cares for me as a customer. We changed insurances in July and got a high deductible that doesn't pay for my medication that I need monthly (I used to pay only $30/month). We decided that we would just have to pay cash for it because I needed to have this medication now it is $138/month. I have paid this cash price of $138 for the past 5 months and this month I have been very concerned because money is just getting tighter. I went to get the medication yesterday and asked if there was anyway I could use a discount card that I had in my purse for the medication. The worker took the card and then told me it would be $38!!!! What!!! That is awesome news! I said can I reuse this card and she told me that the card had already been on my account and I could have used it every time. WHAT THE HE--!! Why have I paid an extra $100 for the past months if this card was on file and all the Walgreen's workers had to do was run it a different way. I am truly saddened that no one thought to assist me and look for ways to get this medication cheaper. I take that back - one month they told me to call my doctor and ask for a cheaper medication - which I did and it still came back as super expensive. That felt really good to tell the doctor what I thought he should prescribe for me. I am looking for a pharmacy that will care about me and help me get what I need at the very best price. CUSTOMER...
