Worst experience EVER in a verizon store! Treated me like a child because I am not listed on the family plan that I share with my mother and sister. I walked 2 miles from my work because I had my truck in the shop for service and I use my phone as POS system to run my clients credit/debit cards for my small business. Explained my situation to the store associate who refused to help me with my iphone that has been having hardware/software issues since i bought it for over $1400 brand new and have phone insurance/protection on the device. Explained my situation to the associate and she acted like she didn't want to help me because my name was not listed on the account. Phone is a paper weight and not able to use it to call, she didn't even offer to call and ask for authorization on the account. Treated me as if I was trying to get over on the store for asking for help with a frozen iphone. Didn't try to help me troubleshoot it, didn't ask the manager for help even after I kept telling her that I already have been on the phone with apple and online troubleshooting the device. Also explained that i didn't have a vehicle for transportation. She just kept telling me I needed to take the phone into simply mac all the way in orem or the apple store in fashion place. She said since it's not a "hardware" issue they can't do anything for me. Asked to speak to the "manager" who was just another associate she brought out from the back who approached me very disrespectfully by saying "whats wrong with it bro?" He also kept repeating the same thing as the previous girl and when I asked him why they don't do anything for their customers who have been with them since the air touch days he replied "even if you had a hardware issue it would take two to three business days to ship you a new one!" WOW! I told him that I see how they treat people and walked out with a giant gold $1400 paper weight and lost over $200 in sales for the first half of my morning at work. Avoid this store and it's immature, disrespectful sales associates. They didn't even give me an option to buy a cheaper phone and offer to help me to get by for the day with something until i could get into apple to have this resolved! Just because someone is not listed on the account as an authorized user doesn't give you the right to treat a paying customer like a low class thief! I'm ashamed that I ever gave verizon my business and I will be also making a formal complaint to corporate verizon! Had to end up going to wal-mart to get a tracphone and the associates there were actually helpful and friendly and they helped me pick a new walmart mobile plan to help get me by for the rest of the day. Only costed $25 for the phone and $35 for the plan and they didn't treat me like garbage when I asked for help since I didn't have a phone that i could use. WORST VERIZON EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE! Save yourself the time and effort and if you have an iphone that's having trouble go straight to apple!!! I'm still under factory warranty and had this phone for less than 10 months and they treated me like I was trying to just get a new phone for nothing. Thanks for treating your paying customers like trash and I hope you can hire some friendly people who don't act like they are god's gift to retail sales! I'll be taking my business to AT&T or T-Mobile. DO NOT RECOMMEND AND WILL BE LETTING EVERYONE WHO COMES TO MY BUSINESS HOW VERIZON DOES BUSINESS TO IT'S PAYING CUSTOMERS WHO SHARE...

They were told by some employee named "Favio" from brazil that the cheapest iphone, the iphone 4s, was $100 bucks. (He conveniently never mentioned the new iphone 5C is $99) He explained that normally this iphone 4s costs $449, which is true, but if they sign a two year contract they can get it for $100 bucks. Sounds like a good deal. What actually happened was they were scammed into buying the older model iphone 4s with a bunch of accessories for roughly the same price as the new iphone 5C. Nice right! Nice for the store and Favio. This Favio acted like a sleazy used car salesman who took advantage of two unsuspecting people. When they told me about the deal, it didn't sound right. The iphone 4s is an older model and shouldn't cost $100 bucks. I looked it up and it costs $0.99 with a new two year contract. The phone is $1 dollar. (You will have to pay $30 for an upgrade to a smart phone). All the other accessories are optional. Period. "Favio" never gave these people the option. Favio has it figured out that if he tells people the cheapest iphone is $100 bucks, he can then ring up extra $$ in accessories to make it to $100 dollars. (The actual bill was $113 and change) My wife and father-in-law returned to the store to speak with the manager "mike costa?" about this deal they were given and to return the accessories. He said he would talk to Favio about it, but that it could have been a "misunderstanding." Sure. I do know my wife and father-in-law very well. They would absolutely NOT buy all these accessories, (including a car charger) at the store, if given the option. Maybe they would have bought a case, but that's it. Favio arranged the sale by being deceptive. That is the bottom line. I am willing to bet Favio has duped other people who wouldn't know the difference. My wife isn't a dumb person at all, she is smart but just isn't that familiar with technology. I guess I made the mistake of assuming that the people at this verizon store would be honest and help the customer. My father-in-law was refunded around $80 bucks after he returned all the unnecessary accessories. I will find him a case that will protect his phone for around $10 - $15...
Read moreDifficult customer service experience today. Went into the store to get help setting up my phone, which was received through an insurance claim after my phone was stolen. I had tried calling Asurion (who administers the insurance) and they were unable to explain thoroughly how to access the backup data that I had in my phone in order to have it operating on my phone - instead I was only signed into Google in one place. When I came into the store, a young man greeted me on the mat, and I said I wanted to sit down with someone and go through my phone to make sure it was set up properly. He essentially asked if I was signed into Google, and I said I was but that it didn't seem like all my information came through. He said signing in was the only thing I could do. But then when I gave examples of apps that weren't working like I thought they should, he went and changed some of the settings and then said "see, it was signed in." He didn't seem to recognize that what I wanted was to sit down and go through most of the apps I regularly used and make sure that they were set up to sync properly. We had a few minute chat and never did he invite me to sit down somewhere in the store to make sure things were set up. He just kept saying that he was doing what I asked. At the end he became dismissive and said maybe I should go to Best Buy. I left out of frustration and sadness and because I was already late to go somewhere. I came back into the store to see if they had screen protectors and talked to someone else to ask if I had to make an appointment for someone to just sit down with me and make sure my phone was set up. This girl was nicer, but she kept saying she didn't know what I meant. So I gave her a couple more examples of apps that weren't working, and she adjusted some more things and provided advice, but said "if you give examples it's helpful, but I don't know what you mean when you say the phone isn't working like what you want." Which yes, I understood that too, but that is why I was asking to sit down with someone and go through things! When something like theft occurs, it would have been nice to receive more of a warm welcome than what...
