So horrible I went to adopt a cat there a while back she looked horrible the poor baby needed so much help and love. I went with my boyfriend to adopt her and the employees where SO RUDE! I AM 100% SURE they were judging us based on our appearance unfortunately as I was wearing oversized clothes as a woman. They said we would need to get an adult of 21 or older as we were 18 at the time to adopt this poor girl, I completely understand and was respectful of that. I had asked my mother to drive from Provo to help me with the adoption. The employees had said that was fine. My mother had gotten there and the same employees refused the adoption once again after telling me I could adopt her with my mother. When I had politely asked if I could speak to their manager for the second time along with my mother she kept on saying they were not there. They told us we needed to reach out to the shelter where the cats had came from and request to adopt her from there. I had called the shelter where the cats had come from and had explained the situation to her and that she said I had to request a form to fill out so they could give me permission to adopt her. The woman over the phone was extremely disappointed and upset the PetSmart employee had told me to do this as they send these animals to them in hopes that they can home more animals as they have a lot of animals that need to be homed. They had told me that they are no longer able to help us with the adoption because they had handed over these animals already to PetSmart. She explained to me that they send the cats to different petsmarts in hopes that they can get more homes that way. She was extremely disappointed and very upset with them as was I. I do not recommend going here. They do not know what they are doing. They do not care about their animals. They had also put her in a box with two tabby cats that were hitting her and getting extremely aggressive with her. It was clear that she could not be in the same box as them. I cried the entire day thinking about her and feeling helpless as I had done everything I could to try and rescue her. I hope that this employee no longer works there. She is terrible. I am so thankful that there were other employees there the next day and I was able to adopt this sweet baby. They had informed me on the paperwork that she needed eye drops due to an issue with her eyes. They were wrong. She did not need eye drops. In fact, the eye drop where making her eyes worse and she would cry every time I tried to give her them. I decided after a month of eye drops that I would not be giving her any more. Her eyes have opened up completely and they are no longer red and infected and they look beautiful. She loves her new home and enjoys sleeping on our bed every day and plays with her new sister all the time. I hope everyone looking to adopt that may have had similar experiences as I have does not discourage you about adopting a rescue. There are so many animals that have not had a home and have lived on the streets for so long. It is so heartwarming to see these animals get homes and see them clean and happy knowing they feel safe with you and...
Read moreI scheduled my dog a couple WEEKS ago for a grooming appointment. They waited 30 minutes before the appointment time to call and say that they didn’t have room and the groomer that would be doing my dog called in sick. I asked if there was anyone else that could do it and was told the other groomers were too booked. I told them I was literally walking into the building and still was told they couldn’t fit me in, even though we had an appointment! Um what? Unacceptable, I have worked in grooming and never would we have done that to someone, we would have squeezed them in, given that it was our fault. I was giving them a second chance too. Last time I brought my dog in there were chunks of long hair left all over his body and his cut was not the way I had told them to do. At check in last time they told me that the groomer that needed to hear what I was saying went to lunch and they would relay what I wanted. Which didn't get relayed properly. I didn’t say anything because I’m normally not like this and don’t usually write reviews unless something is really bad. I won’t be scheduling with them again. My dog desperately needed it too. Really disappointed.
Edit: I later decided to call back and schedule because they were literally the only ones that could get us in sooner. The girl on the phone was really apologetic and sweet. They offered to squeeze us in on a Saturday and offered a discount. I took it. Biggest regret ever. I asked for a 1/2 inch all over and for a teddy bear face and to make sure not to shave his face like last time. They left his hair longer than a half inch. There were patches that you could tell they tried to brush back so it didn’t look like they were longer than others. Last time they shaved him completely and this time they barely took anything off. I specifically asked for a nice trim around the mouth but to leave his face teddy bear and not to shave his face , but they cut his eyebrows to a half inch and left everything else long. What was the point in that? They didn’t clean up his mouth and he still had stains on his chin from his food, which usually come out with a simple bath even at home. I’ll give it to them they listened on the face part they left it a little and didn’t shave it like last time. It was suppose to be one length all over his body. It looked like they started with the 1/2 inch on the neck then changed it. He is shaved on his neck and long and shaggy on his body and even has an almost bald patch on his chest. 1 length on his body is what I asked for. He smelled like a sweaty armpit and someone’s cologne but didn’t smell like he had been bathed at all. Which was suppose to be included. I honestly don’t understand how they do it. The instructions are clear. Other places are easily able to figure it out, why can’t they? I won’t be making that...
Read moreIf I could give a lower score I would. Not happy with grooming. My husband scheduled to have our dog groomed and when he got there they told him that they had scheduled it as just a "puppy cut" which is trimming the nails and cleaning up the face. (this is not what he called to schedule) and then they told him that if he wanted an actual cut he would have to come back another time because they didn't have time to do it. He ended up leaving our dog and they told him it would be at least 3 hours (why would it take so long? they weren't even doing a cut AND WHAT IS THE POINT OF MAKING AN APPOINTMENT if it's going to take that long to do minimal work on my dog anyway?) He ended up leaving our dog to get nails trimmed and proceeded to drive back home because it was going to take 3 hours. (we do not live close to this location) and then he got a call 40 minutes later to come pick up our dog. When he got home with the dog, his nails were even sharper then when he went it, they must have just rough cut them and not filed them. And you couldn't even tell that they did anything to him. His face and paws looked exactly the same. I called and spoke to the manager and she did apologize and scheduled to have me come in for a full cut a day later and said that she would take the price I had already paid off the full cut. I took my dog in today for the full hair cut and was less than impressed with the end result. His hair is uneven all over and his face is still really long... not what I asked for at all. I gave specific instructions to trim his face short and that is not at all what I got. They didn't give him a bath (which is included in what I am paying for) .. how do I know this? I watched outside the windows the whole time and unless they give him a 20 second bath and wash then it just wasn't done. Long story short, I ended up paying almost the exact same price for a full cut AGAIN instead of them taking off what I already paid. I am so ticked off and I have 3 dogs and WILL NEVER GO TO PETS MART AGAIN for any of my dogs. I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years and I am so displeased with the service given and the way that their problems were handles. Unfortunately for them, they will lose my service for 3 dogs and I will be telling everyone I know who owns animals not to go there. I am affiliated with several pet charities and have a lot of people asking me advice on where to go for dog care, Petsmart will no longer be a place I refer...
