My past experiences here haven't been bad, but after my visit and dealing with the store manager today I won't be going back. I needed a headlight and wiper changed. The employee ran into some issues with the headlight, which was fine because I wasn't in a rush. However today my husband called to tell me when he was a couple minutes away from home the hood blew open. We live a few minutes from AutoZone so luckily it didn't happen while I was driving home with my two year (I also happen to be extremely pregnant). When I called to let them know that the employee obviously didn't latch the hood and my husband was quite upset being we could have gotten seriously hurt the manager basically blamed everything else. From well that couldn't have happened because your truck wouldn't have started, it's a truck issue, my employee says he shut it, the wind caused problems, and his final argument someone should of noticed last night if that was the case. When I got frustrated his response was I'm trying to be cordial with you if there is any damage let us know and we can try and figure out if this our fault, but my employee is pretty sure he at least remembers shutting it to the safety latch.    Read moreI wish I could rate this autozone a 0 star. I go there because my battery died, the gentleman who looks up the battery says âwell Iâm not gonna replace itâ and goes and asks a co-worker. Before I even opened the hood the guy was saying he doubts he can do it. He claims that he canât do it because of a âfuse boxâ on the battery. He claimed that If he would break the fuse box I wouldnât be able to go anywhere⌠no really?!? You work at an autozone and canât replace a battery, thatâs funny. While I understand this isnât a battery place. They work on cars all day then should have some advice. I ask the gentleman if he knows where I can take it, he says to a mechanic. Not offering places like interstate batteries/ batteries plus, but I would be willing to bet he knows those places are around and they will do it. Not sure if they just didnât want to help me or if they are told to not work on those batteries, but if you canât help people put them in and find the right place/battery then you shouldnât be in business.    Read moreThe manager is very rude. I tried to return a jack that another associate told my husband he could return. He wasn't sure if the jack was tall enough, so he asked what the return policy before he bought it. He was told 90 days with the receipt. He informed them he would be back if it didn't work. Well it didn't work and I returned it. The same lady he bought it from told me I had to have my husband's debit card to return it. So I left the jack with them until I went home to get my husband's card. When I returned the manager was there and his response to me was " I don't know what she told you, you will have to take that up with her, but I'm the manager here and it was opened and obviously used so you can't return it." I took my jack and left. The biggest problem isn't just the jack.....another store associate told me this is how the manager always treats people.
