The store owner came up to me to let me know a customer of theirs left the store because they were afraid of my service dog. I just would like to let management know, that per ADA law, that I am allowed to shop in the store for as long as I want regardless of anyone else's fear of dogs. Please note, a service dog is a medical device for me and per the law, I am allowed to go anywhere that serves the public. I do not have to make way for anyone who is afraid of dogs. The store owner was very polite but him telling me that was not appropriate. My service dog is 14 pounds, submissive and properly trained. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), businesses cannot deny entry or ask you to leave because another customer is afraid of or allergic to your service dog.
