Wow. I’m INCREDIBLY let down by my entire shopping experience with Living Spaces. At the beginning, we had a great time in the store, everybody was so helpful and kind. We found the perfect couch for our new space and spent nearly $5,000 just for it. I loved the experience of picking the fabric and cushions. All seemed great, I even told everyone that would listen to me how much I recommend this place. Unfortunately, once the company had our money, all other services including help of any sort went completely out the window. The smiles and in-store experience is all a facade.
They told us from the date of purchase it would only take a few weeks and then it ended up being a longer wait than expected… no big deal. Couch got delivered and it appeared great. Until I took a closer look and not even 10 minutes after the delivery people left, I noticed metal staples hanging out of the back corner and the fabric is flipped down. I contacted the warranty service that same day and to begin with, I was offered $800 to resolve the issue on my own rather than getting a technician out. They tried to throw money at the situation rather than fixing it, an amount that wasn’t comparable to the entire amount of the purchase. If it was a minor stain, I could understand but with it being metal, it’s a clear safety hazard, especially for small children. I got a date scheduled for a technician to come out to repair it and they gave me a 4 hour window for them to show up (8am-12pm.) After 3 and a half hours went by, I called the number that was sent on the confirmation text about the time and date for the appointment and wanted an ETA but was told that they were probably just running late and the technician would be reaching out to me but that they still had almost 20 minutes to show up… I called again after the scheduled time and was told to give it another hour or two for someone to reach out to me to hopefully get an ETA, which was not received once all day. After 2 hours, I called again and was told that they couldn’t even get a hold of the technician that was supposed to come out and a message was left for a manager of the repair techs but that’s all that could be done and if a tech didn’t show up or reach out then that was pretty much that… I’ve now wasted an entire day for an appointment that could have been done as early as 8 am. I’ve now called customer service for Living Spaces and a nice woman said that she left a message and I should be getting contacted in the next 24-48 hours to reschedule the repair… Something I am really dreading at this point, hopefully it’s not a re-run of this initial appointment.
Honestly, we had heard not-so-great situations with the customer care and service from Living Spaces but wanted to try a new store to furnish our home. After all of this, we will definitely NOT be returning to Living Spaces, even as much as I tried to love it and stay positive. This is the first review I’ve ever left on something, which...
Read moreI am posting this review here because Living Spaces will not allow me to post the review under the specific product claiming that my review "did not meet" thier website guidelines. Brace yourself and read through. I recently ordered a custom Chill III Chenille couch from Living Spaces on June 30th and opted for their full-service delivery option. Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting addition to our home turned into a frustrating and disappointing ordeal. The couch was finally delivered on July 25th, but our excitement quickly turned to dismay when the shipping crew, along with my husband, discovered that not one, but two of the legs were broken, and a third one was incredibly loose. It was a glaringly obvious quality control issue, and we immediately contacted Living Spaces to report the problem while the delivery team was still in our home. To say that our experience with Living Spaces' customer service has been a nightmare would be an understatement. Since that initial contact, we have reached out to them multiple times, only to be met with a frustrating lack of assistance. Each time, we were told that we would have to wait a staggering 6 to 8 weeks to receive replacement legs. Can you imagine coming home from a long day at work, only to be forced to sit on your bed or a dining chair because your brand-new, full-size couch is broken and unusable? Adding insult to injury, the customer service agents I've interacted with have been unhelpful and uncooperative. Not only have they refused to provide any meaningful updates on the situation, but they also adamantly denied sharing the contact information for their corporate office. This lack of transparency and accountability has resulted in me wasting valuable hours of my time, trying to get a resolution that should have been readily provided. What's particularly infuriating is their stance on the issue. They insist that I cannot return the item due to it being a "special order." But let me ask you this: if you purchased a car and it arrived without wheels, would you be expected to accept it? It's a clear case of them failing to uphold their end of the bargain. They took our hard-earned money and delivered a defective product, leaving us to deal with the consequences. In conclusion, my experience with Living Spaces and their Chill III Chenille couch has been nothing short of a nightmare. I strongly advise against shopping with them unless you're prepared for frustration, disappointment, and the distinct feeling of being cheated. As a consumer, I deserve better treatment and a company that stands by the quality of its products and services. Unfortunately, Living Spaces has failed to deliver on both counts, leaving me disgusted and regretful of my decision to...
Read morePurchased a two piece sofa less than a month ago. Sales staff was very friendly and helpful during our visit. Unfortunately, they mixed up the billing and deliver address so our delivery was rescheduled for 3 days later due to an employee error. Ok. Not the end of the world. It happens. The couch looks amazing and is what we purchased, however the material is VERY poor quality. It has started visible pilling like a cheap sweater 27 days into owning it. My husband and I are the only people in our home. We have 3 dogs that do sit on the couch but I'd expect a couch to last at least 12 months when we we paid $1700 for it. The online chat bot said this wasn't covered under warranty. I was able to get in touch with someone at the call center who started a claim for us and requested pictures- at least she was very pleasant. I am hopeful the company will do the right thing and refund our purchase since I can't imagine a replacement being much better. I will update the review as we get more information but please think twice before buying from this location. The store personnel are lovely but the quality of product and post purchase experience is disappointing at best.
6/30/24- Replacement pieces had the same fabric defect after only a month of use. We were able to talk to customer support and received store credit for a new item. The sales associates were extremely helpful and accommodating when we needed assistance with the vouchers and even mentioned the piece we had issues with seemed to be one of the lower quality items and is no longer available for purchase. Honestly, I’m impressed that they pulled the item so quickly and were transparent about it. We were able to get a new set and it has been a great experience working with the in store team which I really appreciate. I might consider future purchases here if the new items hold up well.
2/6/24 Update- The company would not refund our money but was willing to deliver a replacement sofa. We were told to dispose of the current sofa locally and they would not take it back, which is reasonable. We received our delivery today and were informed we would only be given the chaise component of our two piece sectional. We are now awaiting more support from customer service but this has been frustrating to...
