After not having much luck with other brands like Audi, Mercedes, I decided to extend my options and thought that maybe a Lexus will do. But I only Lexus vehicles that come with F Sport packages, because those that come with it distinguish themselves from the rest and hold a unique luxury taste to themselves. Lewisville Autoplex has two Lexus vehicles match my searches. One in blue and one in white, I wanted the white one for myself (if it ain't white, it ain't right, right?) so I got in contact with Breece Higgins and I bargained back and forth with him even though I did a research myself, their vehicle has the most reasonable price among most options I've seen on the net (My god, some sells used cars for the price of new ones????). If Breece declined my offers and held tight to the original price, I would just ignore Lexus all together and seek BMW as my last resort. I did it for no apparent reasons actually, I guessed I expected the worse outcomes from them after trying with 20+ dealerships across multiple states including Texas. However, we met at common ground and I agreed to come for a test drive with my documents.

Since I'm not familiar with Lewisville and the dealership itself, I stepped my foot into the wrong door. I arrived at the New-Vehicles department instead of the Pre-Owned department. But I didn't know about that until much much later, everyone was so nice and asked me if I've got helped. I said I want to meet Breece specifically and they asked him for me. The initial greet is just like everywhere else I have been to, but when we stepped into the vehicle for a test drive, this is where the differences come in. He asked me if I want bring it out to the road and I'm not sure if he was joking, I stuttered for a second and decided to just go around the building (Because We went to Audi of Plano and most of people there ignored our existences even though we could potentially be their lifetime customers. Next, the sale guy didn't want us to step on a vehicle, left alone test drive it, because he doesn't want us "to put extra miles on the vehicle." I'm not kidding! He treated us like "Excuse me, but I think y'all must have entered the wrong Toyota dealership..." Needless to say, no purchase was made, but it didn't break my spirit though). I noticed the first thing about the car, the "Sewell Lexus of Dallas" sticker on the driver's window, the origin of the vehicle reassures me about the current quality of the car, I feel like I can trust this dealership and do business with them. Plus an extend warranty and bumper to bumper coverages which are key factors help me ultimately decided to buy it.

Next, I provided every documents required, also my pre-approved copy from Capital One. Then we waited for the credit application approvals. During that time, I got several CreditWise notifications tell me that my credit records are being pulled by potential creditors, I had to admit it was nerve-wrecking moments because I've tried with so many dealerships and my credit score has been dropped drastically. If I failed to complete my purchase at Lewisville Mitsubishi, my credit score may drop even further, from good to fair, could possibly ruin my chances at getting the vehicles I want in the future. I even said to myself, "I don't apply finance for a Ferrari, I ask for what the bank gives me, why does this process takes so long?" That's when Rick Massey came out and told me that he was trying to get me the best rates he could. He informed me that it went through with Capital One, but he tried to get us better rates. I felt relieved as I know that my car shopping roller-coasters ended there.

Lastly, Nick Halvanick introduced himself to us and he's the one that finalized the process. He was great, very personable and professional about finishing up the processes. He congratulated us as I finished signing e-documents.

From start to finish, it took roundly 3 hours but it was worth it because Lewisville Autoplex valued our business and exceeded our expectations.

My name is Patience, and I am a single Mom. Single Moms face a lot of challenges, one of them being car issues that make it difficult to get the kids to school, get groceries, run errands, go to doctor’s appointments, etc. Without cars, there aren't a lot of things you can do successfully when it comes to meeting the needs of the children and Family. It’s even more frustrating as a single Mom when you have health issues and you cannot work as you need to.

A lady ran into my car last year. Her insurance decided to take the car to the shop and fix it. In April of this year (2024), they told me that the car wouldn't be fixed, and that it would be totaled. I was given a week to look for another car, and to return the rental that I had at the time. The money the insurance people said they would pay me for my car was not enough to get a new car, which made the one week new car search very frustrating for me. And to make it worse, I wasn't feeling my best at the time and I hadn't worked full-time for a long time because of bed rest. As a result, cash was limited. I had to look for a car, I told myself, or else the kids would not be going to school, and that is not an option. I have never bought a car from a car dealership before and don't even know what to look for or what to tell car dealers 😭😭😭. I was so frustrated because I don't even understand what the car dealers are saying.

David Baum, in his empathetic, compassionate giving spirit, came to my aid by giving me a very nice car with no down payment because the insurance company hadn’t sent the check for my totaled car yet. David put gas in the car, filling up the tank, and helped with the car insurance, since at this point I had no money due to aforementioned health issues. He then allowed me to drive off with the new car and get my kids to and from school. David gave me a very long time to work and put money together before my first payment on the car this June of 2024. David is an angel 😇 and I am grateful to God for sending him to help me and my kids.🙏🙏🙏

So, if you see David Baum, the manager of Lewisville Autoplex, I want you all to thank David for me on behalf of me and my children. Silver or gold, I have none to give to David, but my earnest daily prayer for this awesome man and his family who are filled with rare kindness that is so rare to find this day and age. God bless you sir, and I am forever grateful to you. Because you helped me, everyone that depends upon me to survive was also helped. That includes the homeless people here in Downtown Dallas who I hold dear in my heart, always helping them with basic needs. Today they have water, food, etc. to eat because you helped me with a car that helps transport food, water, and other basic necessities to them in their various locations. On behalf of the homeless and less privileged people that I have been afforded the privilege to help, I say a very big “Thank you sir”. When we decided to trade our beloved BMW X7 — Rhonda, as our 6-yr old daughter named her SUV after The Beach Boys song — we were sending away a member of the family that had been through every kind of storm and difficult driving conditions one could imagine and always delivered us home safely. It wasn’t an easy decision. Neither was choosing an able successor. As we began our search, we became disheartened that no vehicle of the type we wanted was anywhere close to us to be able to go and see, touch, drive and decide.

After a week’s worth of searching every possible internet portal, I gave my wife multiple choices of vehicles that met our growing family’s space requirements, the technological updates and fun stuff, price parameters, mileage and condition. I told her not to concern herself with where the vehicle was but rather to choose the one she would want to drive on a daily basis and that appealed to her highly developed sense of style.

She chose…… drumroll please…... The Batmobile. An exquisite Black on Black on Sapphire Metallic Black BMW XB7 Alpina. It was tucked away in the Batcave at Lewisville Autoplex in the Dallas suburbs of Texas.

While it was a stunning automobile — the very best BMW has to offer — it was too far away to take a weekend drive with our three monkeys 🐒 🐒🐒 in tow. This transaction was going to require us to trust the chosen dealership — and dealer — that would not only be able to handle my exhaustive list of requests, but would also find the value in our pampered Beach Boys wagon as a trade.

Enter GENO “The Robin” GARBALINA. He fit that bill to a tee, one big Texas T. I can honestly say he’s the best car dealer I’ve ever done business with. Hardworking, honest, to the point and a no nonsense work ethic. He understood the complexity of a cross state transaction and got the right team members at Autoplex involved at the outset and then got out of the way to facilitate a clean and quick close.

Oh, and the best thing about Geno was his sense of humor. We laughed as much as we talked whenever we spoke over the phone. He doesn’t take himself too seriously which allows him to insure the details are dealt with for his eccentric customers, like us. We plan to return to Geno’s care for our next car buying passion.

One last point — this is the only review I will ever write. I never do them for anyone. But Geno deserves to be recognized for an outstanding job. Go visit him folks. He’ll take good care of you.
