LONG BUT WORTH TO READ!!!! We went last Sunday ( it was a group of us) Our other family members were served first and as soon as we walked in a waitress immediately (her tag said EMILY AKA PICKLE RICK if I’m not mistaken) went up to an older waiter. she began whispering in his ear and he turned around and kept looking at us. Minutes passed she came to our table and asked for our drinks( she was really awkward when taking our order). I was facing the kitchen so I could see everything!! She went back with our order and went up to another young waitress, stopped, began whispering to her while looking at us and this waitress then turns around to look at us as well. Walked by another waitress did it again and again. About 6 minutes passed, no drinks still, she whispered to the older man again. He then came over to the table and said “Im sorry but we would appreciate it if you guys would be ready to leave if you don’t mind.” I could not believe it!!! My brother in law said well we actually do mind, but it’s fine we will leave. I said, “I haven’t even got my drink.” The older man just walked way. He went straight to the girl AKA PICKLE RICK. She ended up whispering about us again to other waiters because again 2 more times they would turn around and just stare. She stopped maybe the 6th person and I just couldn’t take it anymore and I stood up and told her, “ You can stop talking about us and making all your co-workers turn around and look at us; we will be leaving!” I got up and told her she should be ashamed because I had never lever felt so awkward. I am not going to lie, I stood up and said it pretty loud and asked if she liked how it felt having all eyes on her over and over again…she said OMG IM SORRY and I told her NO YOUR NOT, YOUR SORRY THAT IM Making you FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE JUST HOW WE HAVE BEEN SINCE WE WALKED IN. I’m not sure if it was because We were the only Latinos in there or it could have been she thought Latinos didn’t tip ( only if she knew that We are very genourous tippers because one of my first jobs I was a waitress and we usually tip 10 to every 20 spent). Anyways Later that day We ended up bumping into a nice older white woman that stopped us because she had recognized us from Waffle House. I felt embarrassed and the first thing I told her was that I was sorry, but that I was just getting so uncomfortable after people just turn around staring and knowing it was about us. Empathetically she said I had nothing to be sorry about and that she was there and noticed everything as well and that she was glad I spoke up. She continued to say that they were so wrong for the way they treated us and recommended us report what happened. She continued to say that she went home and told her husband what had happened and decided that that they will no longer go to that Waffle House because of the way we were treated and said she hopes others do the same. My family and I would never go back even if the...
Read moreOk, well. I had a 4star review but my latest visit warranted a change because after spending $ on food we didn't get, I'll not be back. The worst part is that when they screw up & leave stuff out, the customer has no recourse. When I called to tell them, I got the same message that I got when I tried to order the food by calling ahead-- sorry but you have to go to the store & order. I don't even think there was an option to order online as late as it was, but I could be mistaken. Regardless, I couldn't figure out a way to order ahead. The result was a VERY lengthy wait for our orders 2b prepared (2omelets & 2waffles for 3ppl). Our son 4got to tell us he wanted double hashbrowns so we ordered it after we had gotten our order, & the short, 25-30ish, female who was cooking was VISIBLY upset that she had to cook more. She was so upset that I made sure to watch that she didn't spit in them (it happens ppl, I swear)! There was only a couple in there at the time & she didn't appear 2have any other tickets & don't know how she could since u can't order ahead, so im assuming she's just lazy. The server however was a DELIGHT! She was very personable & friendly. I'm not sure who dropped the ball on a missing order of chili, a waffle & side of bacon, but I was LIVID. My entire purpose for going was for hashbrowns w a bowl of chili to drown them in. And with all that's going on n the world, I can't afford to pay for food we don't get! It's unacceptable. Oh, and there was almost no cheese on my ham &...
Read moreHave been to many Waffle Houses, not sure which review this one is one ifs for. I have only had a bad experience at 1, that is 2641 Cumberland Falls Hey, Corbin, Ky. To call it a bad experience is a gross understatement, it was a horrendous experience. It was not overly busy but took 10 minutes to get a server to the table at all, another 10 for drinks which is when we placed our breakfast order. Nothing fancy, a hash brown bowl for me, eggs, sausage and toast for her. Her cold toast was brought to the table about 10 minutes after placing the order, another 15 saw her eggs and 10 minutes later the shrivled sausage links made it. It was another 15 minutes before my inedible hash brown bowl came. An hour before the small order finally was finished being delivered. Any complaint was met with a 'I don't care" attitude and no manager ever came to the table. An email written to the corporate office went undelivered but, it was the one bad experience that negates the hundreds of good ones because I will never set foot in a waffle House again. To be fair, my 4 stars are for all the...
