I've dealt with American Pawn for many years now. I've pawned many items over the years when I needed the cash to get by until payday. I've only ever lost any of my items twice. Both times were my fault.
I did lose a really nice drill to them once, and when I saw it on the shelf, I had regret. I put it on layaway, and once I paid it off, they couldn't find it. After close to an hour of looking, they said they could give me a different drill, which was newer, same brand, though I realized after it wasn't the same model. I accepted it, and it's a great drill, but it's never the same as my original one. Mostly becasue it was a gift, but nonetheless, they made it right.
I've bought quite a few tools through them. The battery i bought for an impact drill was bricked, brought it back the next day with receipt. Dude (guy in wheelchair) made it right and said i could get a different one or get my money back. He found a newer battery, worked great.
I've had two guns I've bought via layaway (one that i fully have, one that i hsve one more payment on), and they're always good about it. As soon as you buy it, you sit down, do your FFL background, and done and out the door.
I haven't had to Pawn anymore (thankfully) but they have changed on some things. Xbox ones they don't take anymore, ans a few other things since newer versions are out and the demand is less for older, makes sense to me. Saves me from pawning if feeling the need.
Always do business with these guys and ladies. I think it's Justin and Nikki, they're both...
Read moreBeen going to American Pawn since they opened on Brower Road. Dan was a friend of my older brothers when they were younger, I believe, so I started supporting them when they opened. Always have had a good staff, they're my first stop when I'm on the lookout for certain things, especially electronics and guns and jewelry. Have helped me out with loans multiple times, bought quite a few items, sold a few, always have went smooth and left happy with the service. Have only had one issue the entire time they've been open after many many transactions, was no fault of mine or theirs, just a bad situation that wasnt necessarily either of our faults, but Tyler went above and beyond to make everything right and make sure i left a happy customer. Can tell he takes pride in the business and their name and isn't just trying to make a quick buck with no regards to their customers and that's not only extremely respectable but also rare now a days. Been a customer from the beginning and will continue going to American Pawn first for a lot of my needs. 5 stars across the board and extra shout out to Tyler and Cagney for always doing an excellent job. Would recommend to...
Read moreI went into the store on 10/08/24 to look at silver coins and bars. I was looking to buy some coins or bars. I saw a tray with a sign that said $3.00 over spot. I made a comment to the lady that was helping me that spot had dropped I believe $1.38 at the time to $30.67. I picked out a coin and bar and she took them to the counter to check out . When I got to the check out she said it was $70.00 and some change. She turned and asked a gentleman what was their spot price and he said $32.00. I told her spot price was $30.00 because I had Kitco pulled up on my phone and told her. She ignored me and already had the transaction done. I don't mind paying for something when when I know the price and it doesn't change. I will never step foot back in that store again. If they are comfortable loosing a customer over $4.00...
