Was pleasantly surprised with our 1st experience here. The parking lot and entrance was clean and well maintained, along with having handicapped parking, and doorways. The hostess/waitress immediately welcomed our party of 3 for dine in at the Hibachi Grill part of the restaurant. After being seated, the waitress took our drink orders, which were immediately delivered. Our wait for the Hibachi grill cook was only around 5 minutes. Upon his arrival, he immediately engaged our entire grill table in wonderful antics, pleasant dialog flowed smoothly throughout his performance while he artfully cooked our amazing, dinner. We were there around 5pm on a Saturday night, and by 6pm the place had begun to fill up rather quickly with new, and repeat customers, and each person was met with a warm and welcoming greeting. The food was not only artfully, and skillfully prepared, the flavors were distinct, and amazing. The price while a bit on the higher side of the scale, I do believe is perfectly fair, for the amount of food you recieve. This definitely will not be our only trip to this amazing, clean, well stocked, friendly, and superbly delicious restaurant!

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't wow. The calamari skewers were overcooked and tasted of old fry oil. The lobster rangoons were really yummy. The fried rice and Sriracha chicken were good, the meat was moist. My husband's steak bento wasn't bad and his sushi was pretty good. Mine was too dry and not spicy given the name it had. My stomach hurt pretty bad after a bit and I didn't finish any of my food. The sake was good. Especially the white peach flavor. Edit: my daughter and I went recently and had sushi rolls and dumplings. It was much better this time around. Updated to 4 stars.

I ordered steak and shrimp hibachi, edamame, gyoza and Philly roll. My salad had no dressing. I asked for both sauces and soy sauce. Upon pickup, I asked if they put it in the bag. They said yes. It wasn’t in there. So dipping sauces or salad dressing. Pretty disappointed being I paid 60 bucks, waited 45 minutes and then stood in line watching them help people who had just arrived before helping me. My steak was ordered medium rare. It’s well done.also I ordered a filet mingon and it looks like a sirloin.

I will start by saying we did show up 50 minutes before they closed, with a party of 9. We made sure to ask if it was ok. They told us it was absolutely no problem.. we just needed to order before 9. I started by asking what was in the fruit mojito. The server did not know. (Or care to go find out, I guess) I ordered it anyway.. explaining that I do not like berries. As long as it didn't have berries we were fine. He brought back a blue cocktail. Which was made with some sort of blueberry liquor. I have that to my sister. And tried again. I asked what was in the Naughty Lemonade. The server did not know. I asked if it was just a vodka lemonade. He said yes. I asked for any vodka top shelf vodka. Again, it came back blue. So... not vodka lemonade. No top shelf vodka. And damned berries again. Now move on to dinner. I am a vegetarian so I only had a few options. I opted for the poke bowl without meat. I asked what the sauce was on the poke bowl. Believe it or not, the server did not know. Or go and ask. So.. I ended up paying $15 for a bowl of rice with some cucumbers, avacado and mango with soy sauce. Pretty disappointing. Then to top it all off...I was finishing my food and my berry drink, at 9:36 (they closed at 9:30) and they came over and started pulling chairs from our table, and rushing us out the door. Again, we made sure it was ok to come in when we did. So, I really did not appreciate feeling rushed to eat my rice and berry drink 6 minutes after closing. We were not lingering. We were being respectful. I was almost done with my food. Just not a great...

This place usually amazing but a couple days ago I had the worst experience ever at a restaurant. I would say I order from this place once a week and I always do take out. I placed my order for 7:00pm, and I arrived at 6:55pm and they told me it would be a couples minutes they were waiting on the lobster Rangoon. Fast forward 30 minutes and the host ask what the name of my order was and she left and never came back to me to confirm or talk about what was going on with my order. Another 30 minutes go by and they finally had my order and just dropped it off and said nothing on why it took so long. I’m not a very confrontational person so I just blew it off but when I got home my food was extremely cold and I had gotta meat so I just threw it out. All the food was cold and I got $72 worth of food so I was pretty furious cause it wasn’t just for me, but my family as well and that’s when I decided to call. The first time I called I talked to a lady and told her what the problem was and she made me wait for 5 minutes and then just hung up and when I tried to call back it said I couldn’t call that number anymore so I used a family members phone and talked to someone else about it but could barely hear them. He ended up just refunding a single meal. I was in the mood for Chinese but after that awful experience I went to chipotle, and let me just say that hit the spot cause of how awful the food and service was at Yamato West. I don’t even want to come back and this was considered my favorite...

Time to update this review! I am a pretty regular customer here been going for about four years I would say. I cannot in any way put down the quality of their meals or their portions. I invited my family out this last time five adults and one child (5yo). We sit down eat service was a little slow this time and they forgot our extra order of shrimp so we had to wait on that after we got our meals. The bill comes out and it was never mentioned to us that they force gratuities on you. 18% to be accurate. We didn't know they do this and it isn't written anywhere in their menus so we threw down on the table 15 bucks for five adults three dollars each (seemed fair for the slow service). In total our server would have gotten 35 dollars or nearly 33% tip if we had not noticed they forced gratuities on the bill. I do not at all agree with forcing paying customers to pay your servers wages because the business does not want to. I should have the choice on the amount left based on the level of service I was given. After so many years this really sucks the way they did a loyal good customer who always always tips well. It is one thing for me to choose to tip it is a whole other thing to force me to....
