I can’t say enough good things about Paws for Fun and the incredible team there. As someone who has been navigating being homeless while searching for an apartment after eviction due to a domestic violence situation with both a dog and a cat, (and 3 teenage boys) they have truly been lifesavers. They’ve gone above and beyond for my animals, offering a safe and loving environment when I couldn’t afford pet deposits at hotels or couldn’t bring them with me. My pets are my family and the thought of having to surrender them to a shelter was too unbearable. They stepped up.
Unlike other places that might just put pets in a cage, Paws for Fun took the time to know my pets. They cared about their individual personalities, likes, and dislikes, and they made sure both of them felt loved and comfortable. My dog, Bash, absolutely loves going there now and playing with other dogs—something I never thought possible. When we first started, he couldn’t even be around male dogs, but thanks to their thoughtful socialization efforts, he’s come so far. He plays in large groups of all breeds with both males and females now!
What blows me away the most is their generosity. They’ve cared for my pets around 30 times and have never turned me away when I couldn’t afford to pay right away. I don’t have any other truly generous, positive experiences from any local businesses during one of the hardest times of my life. Their compassion, professionalism, and genuine love for animals are unmatched.
You can tell just how much each and every employee there loves animals and I can’t speak for everyone but both of my pets absolutely love everyone there!
They have even read my big 120lb Great Dane/pit mix bed time stories! They actually spend so much time playing and bonding with your pets! I’m forever a supporter of this business. They changed my life. They gave me hope when I had none left and no one to turn to.
If you’re looking for a place where your pets will not only be well cared for but truly loved, Paws for Fun is it. They’ve made an immeasurable difference in our lives, and I’ll forever be grateful.
A special thank you to Peggy, AJ, Mariah, Pam, Travis, Amber, Emilie, & Aiyana. I know I’m missing a few names but each and every one of y’all have a special place in my heart seeing how excited Bash gets when he sees you all. Thank you from The bottom of my heart. You will never understand what...
Read moreI was a vendor at this years "Howl at the Moon" event, spent $100 and was treated rudely by staff. I took in the door prize basket that I spent money putting together, the staff member that took it from me was VERY rude...funny cause the same staff member was so nice when she was taking my money for the registration for the event.
The day's weather forecast was for strong winds up to 50mph gusts. I emailed them the night before to ask if they were moving the event inside, they said they were NOT planning to.
The day of the event, our pop-up-tent was put up, weighted it, put our tables up and product out. The wind was already blowing as about 2 hours later the wind ripped our canopy off...and I was constantly chasing after product that blew off of the table.
Staff visited every one else (rescues and vendors) except us. WE even sat and watched as one of my fellow vendors products blew off the racks and "trick&treat" families picked up that product put into the their bags and continued on their way. That vendor left shortly after that. We left right after them. This would NEVER of happened and us vendors would of been happy and wanting to come back if they would of SIMPLY moved the event indoors.
When staff emailed the parking lot plan where we would be sitting, no where did it state where we were to park our vehicles, I parked at the very end of the parking lot, (I am disabled), walking back I passed several of the staff- they watched me park- they waited until I was sitting down, to come to me and tell me to move across the street. I walked back down the parking lot, and moved to where they told me to park. I had to cross 4 lanes of traffic, cars driving fast for me that walks with a cane - I almost got hit.
I did notice that the building is FOR SALE, so maybe they treated the vendors so horribly cause they will no longer be in business in 2023 (?)
I used to highly recommend Paws4Fun to everyone I knew...not anymore! Another thing I noticed when you walk in the door the first thing you are hit with is the horrible smell of dog urine!
This event was a waste of my $100, my time & the $200 invested in product. If you want to be treated like doggie poo, then this is the place to go...hate to know how they treat the dogs in their car when they treat...
Read moreWe took our golden retriever for boarding here three times, and this third time will be the last. The first two experiences we had were pretty good. This last time, we did not have a good experience at pickup. All of the dogs were howling and whining and we could tell from the sound they were all in their kennels. There was a sign at the front desk saying they were short-staffed. The man that helped us briefly told us that our dog's bed "got really gross" and asked if we wanted it in a bag. He didn't volunteer any other information. When he brought us the bed, it was covered in urine - soaked and had a really bad odor. He brought us our dog out shortly after, who was also very damp and smelled of urine. Our dog is very well potty-trained and can go up to 10 hours without going to the bathroom. I understand that he may react in a new environment when we are not around, but I find it hard to believe that he was let out often enough to be as wet as he was. And if it was the case that he had an accident, it should be cleaned up without letting him lay in it to the point that he is damp. I completely understand if they have a staff shortage as many places are struggling with that right now. However, if I pay the money to board my dog there, I need to trust he is taken care of and if you can't take care of that many dogs due to staff, then don't take as many. It gave me a weird feeling when the man working didn't volunteer any other information about how our dog or bed got that way. I just have a bad gut feeling and felt he was very neglected while...
