I recently went into this store to pick up some hair product that I bought for myself before and my mom wanted to get some too, so I was picking some up for her. I was a people manager at this location about 4 years ago and loved it there and I have continued to go even after I was no longer an employee. However, when I went into this location to get these hair products for my mom, they were out of one of the products (which is totally fine, I get it you sell out of things) that I was going to get so I was asking the hair stylist in the back what another similar product could be that maybe I havenât tried and my mom might like. So the stylist pointed me in the direction of the Redken All Soft oil and I was happy to try that for my mom. So the special that was going on was buy 2 hair styling products get one free. So you would think that since they were out of the product that I wanted initially, and that the hair stylist was helping me find a product for this specific deal this product would be apart of that promotion going on. I go and wait patiently in line for about 10 mins and get up to the front desk and the girl tells me that the product was not apart of the promotion and that I need to go back and find something else. I was a little frustrated because the product that I did want they were out of was apart of the promotion, and told her that the stylist helped me to find this product for this deal and she told me that I still need to go back. Now, like I said I worked at this specific store before, and as a customer service manager you do all that you can to help your customers out especially when youâre out of a product. So I ended up putting the product back and just walking out, because I knew that the girl at the front could easily ask a a manger to come up and the manager could easily put in a code to accommodate my specific problem since they did not have the initial product in stock.
I am giving this store a 1 star because I have continued to notice how this store always has a lot of workers but I have not had a lot of help from them and I know that the values of this company overall are to to let your customers leave feeling like the employees have gone out of their way to help you in anyway possible and that has not been the case for me whenever I go in.    Read moreI love Ulta because they have such a broad selection of brands and products a brand carries that it actually is difficult to walk in looking for a product that does a certain thing or helps with something specific you are trying to target or get rid of and walk out empty handed!! I went in once just looking for something to help minimize blackheads with no plan as to what to get and the workers walked around with me and helped me find a product that sounded like something I would use! And if you need assistance with color matching everytime I've gone in needing helped with foundation matching, concealer matching, or even help picking out a nice pink choice the workers were friendly and able to help me out!! Not only that but the ladies that work in the salon are great!! You know how sometimes you go to get your haircut and you tell the stylist exactly what you wanted and they tweak it to what they think will look good on your face and don't tell you until the hair is cut and gone or don't say anything but then at the end when they turn the chair around you can see that they didn't do what you asked? NOT HERE!! These ladies are very attentive and listen to what you say and will make suggestions on how to do things but won't change what they're doing to your hair unless...
   Read moreI just had a poor experience at this Ulta location. As I was approaching the checkout when I see these two women approach two cashiers from the opposite direction. One of the cashiers ask if theyâre ready for checkout, the women say no they just have a question meanwhile it looks like the person who appears to be the manager is doing some other form of paperwork. Iâm standing close to the manager just looking at the items near the checkout area waiting to be helped because it looks like it takes two Ulta cashiers to answer a question. Iâm not upset at this point, maybe the manager is working on important paperwork or something. Maybe a minute goes by and the manager pipes up that she can help the next person ready to checkout which is me. But this other women rushes up and dumps her items on the counter so the manager helps them instead. Now Iâm upset. I think a good manager would overhear that her employees were struggling to answer this complicated question and instead of deciding to check people out, out of order, would go over and send her employees to check people out so She the person in charge can answer the complicated question.
