I went here about 6 different times to get my nails done (gel mani and reg. pedi). This was the closest nail salon to my house and most days I didn't have time to go anywhere else, nor did I have time to find a new salon. Each time I went, there was a new problem! Overall, the techs have good craftsmanship, and if you can ignore everything else and you just want a solid color put on your nails, you might be ok......... That's about the only good thing I can say about this shop.
They don't honor appointments ( I made a 12:00 appointment once... my tech finished her client before me around 12:10, then they gave her a walk in! When I told them I had an appointment, they told me she was here before me, even though she was a walk in!), the techs always have attitudes and talk about people in Spanish (I guess they haven't caught on yet that not only Latin people know Spanish), they don't have price lists posted and make up their own prices at the end of your appointment (though I went weekly, I never paid the same thing twice, and when I would tell them i was just here last week and paid something different, they'd make up a reason), and even though they have palettes full of gel colors, somehow it's never quite the same when they put it on your nails, IF they have it in stock! Lastly, there is only 1 woman in the entire salon that can do nail designs, and everyone must know that because she is always booked with standing appointments - she's never open when you try to book with her - and everyone else will just slap some lines on your fingers and argue with you that it looks just like the picture when it clearly does not.
This is a horrible nail salon, and I will never spend my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love Yen because she is hands down the best manicurist there, imo! Her ability to shape and design nails is phenomenal!!! I love her. In my book she is āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø. However, they have a pedicurist (is that a word?) who should not being doing anyone's feet. She is an older woman who has flucked my pedicure all the way up on two occasions. Generally, there are only three people there that do solid pedicures as I typically leave unsatisfied with my pedicure. Itās like they refuse to do a good job. Anyway, this particular woman, I excused and still tipped the first time because I just figured she was preoccupied or overwhelmed by something. She hardly pushed my cuticles back and was looking everywhere else except at what she was doing. I almost felt like she didnāt want to do a black personʼs feet. Yet, she looks like an Afro- Latina. I hope that wasn't the case. This time really took the cake, though. My girl swiped my foot with the cuticle tool, kept her eyes glued on the door or front desk and nail polish was clumped up on my crookedly filed toenails. It was such an odd experience. How do you think your filing someoneās nails straight with your gaze out the door? I didnāt bother to complain. I just paid for my nails, toes and tipped Yen, who is again an awesome nail technician. She keeps me tight and right! š Still, because of this experience (that happened twice) I canāt lie and give them five stars. Ladies, beware of the older woman at the back. I wish her goodwill, but doing pedicures is not her strong suit. I canāt believe she went to school for anything related to nails or anything that requires a level of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHonestly this place is i feel a out dated atp. Before my last 2 visits I had actually stopped going there bc when the cat eye designs first came out, they didn't know what it was how to do it. And that's okay I understood. But I was looking for a very up-to-date trend and they couldn't do it. now it's been some time since I've been there, and I recently went back. And unfortunately it's the same case. They didn't apply the appropriate nails for the style I was looking for the. They seem to only work with curved nails and my style required flat nails. Tried it with the curved nails and they broke off within the week. I went back to get another set done, I brought my own tips with me this time jic. I asked the girl if they had flat nails and she told me no. Luckily I brought mine, so they can use them and my own color since I wanted a specific one. Now mind you it has been barely a week and the girl who did my nails saw me. I wasn't offered even an apology let alone a discount. Not that I'm entitled, but for using my products, on my own hands. And for coming back with only four nails left on my hands within one week of paying for a fresh set. And the girl who did my nails, had an attitude by the end of it. I don't know why I didn't even speak barely to her. And I tip $20 everytime I go. Needless to say they're done in my book. I will not be going back and I will not be taking my mom or anyone else with me...
